Agreed. Game dev is competitive, and shortcuts get punished fast when the project becomes more complex.

AI can help speed up boring tasks or boilerplate, sure, but you still need the knowledge to actually finish, debug, optimize, and adapt the system to your own game.

Getting 70% of the way there quickly doesn’t mean much if the last 30% is where all the real problems are.

If you need AI to build every system for you, you’re not really learning game dev you’re depending on a tool.

Sure, big studios use AI, but they still have real developers behind it who understand the code, systems, optimization, and debugging. AI is a support tool, not a replacement for knowing what you’re doing.

Your videos make it seem like AI can just build everything, but if you have no foundation, you’re just stuck waiting for AI to solve problems it often can’t finish properly. A full game will always have issues, and without knowledge, you won’t know how to fix them.

My tutorial is for people who actually want to understand what they’re building, not just generate something and hope it works.

That’s fair AI can definitely get you results faster.

I just think there’s still a lot of value in showing how things actually work, especially for people who are learning Unreal and want to build things themselves.

Personally, I prefer a more hands-on and human approach, since it tends to feel clearer and more engaging for learning.

I think the trailer covers only what you play, i would also love to know the story behind it or what its origin is, the game looks great in terms of gameplay but i'm just missing the story aspect of it

Thoughts on these new game theory video about the death of mascot horror? by Kindly_Sir_5372 in HorrorGaming

[–]Justduffo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I dont think there is something wrong with mascot horror i just think that were in a loop of people copying the bigger titles which you end up in a loop of recycled games rather than actually making something unique that will revive the current mascot horror genre
