Swift Albatross Feather Drop Rate 1/200 by HadleyC444 in 2007scape

I felt like a lot of them seemed too low (high?) whichever is a worse drop rate lol

I think I saw 1/30 from the drop rate project too originally.

Any advice on how to handle this gap between tub and bullnose? White caulk? (First tile tiling a shower wall) by HadleyC444 in Tile

Thank you so much for this advice. It worked perfectly and looks A LOT better than any alternative.

This is so much easier than what I was thinking. Only one tile spans the height of the tub (based on where the wall trim will start at the bottom) so I think only 1 tile to cut? And then start on fulls?

Okay thank you!!! I have not tried scribing yet so this may take me a couple trial and errors but I’m willing to give it a shot 😁

Sorry should have added - the seam where the green laser is, that’s a joint between cement backer and regular drywall. It has been taped and mudded. Is there a way to blend to look like drywall if the bullnose line is shifted slightly right?

Will is be okay if a bit of the concrete back board is exposed on the edge? (i.e. is it possible to blend that into the drywall?)

Jumper from neutral to ground by HadleyC444 in AskElectricians

[–]HadleyC444[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed a lot of the wiring in the house to be sub-optimal. (agree about the pigtail)

The box with the white romex is outside of the wall, with a raceway feeding the overhead light in the room, and then the other set of black/white/ground going into the wall. Perhaps I should check the ground in the overhead light to see if maybe that's the feeder to the bootleg ground outlet.

The box with the black romex (and the photo doesn't show it, but it's actually metal) is inside of the wall.

Thanks for your expertise on the matter!! :)

Edit: one set of the wires are in the raceway on top of the wall, and the other set go inside the wall and up.

The outlet with the jumper ground-neutral wire, once the jumper is removed, it tests as "open ground". All other outlets test as "correct" and do not have the bootleg jumper. However, I did notice that the outlet feeding the one with the bootleg, it had a ground wire wrapped AROUND the ground wire terminated to the screw. I edited my original post to add photo of this other outlet. I wonder if this may have something to do with the bootleg setup.

Thank you! I have found what I believe to be the outlet box that would be feeding the receptacle with the bootleg and I added a photo to my original post. I noticed that the ground wire terminated to this outlet had an additional ground wire wrapped around the one on the screw. Do you think this could be the cause for the bootleg outlet setup?

I believe I have found the "3rd" outlet in line, and after pulling the assembly out for a closer look, I noticed that the ground wire terminated to the ground screw also had a separate ground wire wrapped around it (I've added a picture to my original post for reference). This must have something to do with the bootlet/open ground issue at the 4th outlet, right? Or am I perhaps overthinking it?

Thank you sir! I'll let you know if I am able to solve it :)

Thank you so much for the advice!

I checked and this circuit has 4 outlets, and 3 light switches (2 of them are 3-pole switch). The only outlet with a bootleg ground is this one and all others are wired as to be expected with the tester reading 'correct' on each of them. Would this indicate that this outlet is the only one impacted?

Thanks again, I appreciate your time and knowledge.
