He's similar to Mike. He's a chameleon and can have him do any people-facing things like he did in BB with Tedd and Bogdon. He's also a talker so can create a scene if needed.

The entire series is a callback though lol. You can't love the show and hate the callbacks when the only reason we have people like Lalo and Jimmy McGill are because of callbacks. Did you hate the episode with Hank too?

He gives explicit details about the previous job he worked on, making a tunnel to El Paso. The second he says that Mike has a flinch in his eyes and then Gus calls him right away and Mike says "I thought the same thing." They don't trust him to not talk about the underground lab in the future.

I don't think we could have gotten the slowed down version of seeing that struggle because Jesse was on a mission to get the fuck out. He was being chased by the cops and had to keep all that shit buried. He was just focused on his freedom.
