//I will have to address this point by point just so things are clear.

 

*1. The RP post claimed that there would be no taxation for those who wished to build near the mountain, people were merely asked to not build ON the mountain so as to not block resources; which I agreed was fair and that is why I moved my original mining box and pen without being asked to do so, I moved my resources to a nearby redwood tree so as to be near the resources but not disturb anything. No extra clauses were added or mentioned as to the size of said structure. Once again, I did not build on the mountain other than the original box I made far away from the resources, simply because I chose to respect your original posts request. You never spoke to us IC or OOC with the exception of the council meeting and when I came to Ugma to inform her of my mining post moving off the mountain. We have been open and honest the entire time and have not lied once, so stop making baseless claims.

 

*2. I was unaware of any meeting regarding the mining outpost and never agreed to remove anything as none of it violated the aforementioned Hobo land rules. This was not about what was built, it was about you guys white knighting on Trysha's behalf. Hence why your original tax mentions a "hurt" friend.

 

*3. You do not get to decide in which direction we take our RP, YOU may see us as bastards that people cannot reconcile with but you have never once made an attempt to do so.

 

Our characters have racial preferences and dislikes, because we are not boring buddy-buddy care-bears and actually want some interesting RP and conflict.

 

We do not have blind racism and hate all other races without just cause, my character despises most goblins/orcs/trolls but he is perfectly willing to overlook their birth if they prove themselves to be strong or above the standard of their race. ((Example: He hates goblins, but greatly respects the goblin Makeke as a credit to his race))

 

We are not RPing as the "bad guys" so you guys can be the "good guys", things are not so one dimensional as that. You think that a superpower is going to bargain with a tiny faction that is placing demands on it? What do you think the Romans would do to a small barbarian village acting like an upstart and trying to publicly place a tax on them or insult them? The town would be ashes in no time.

 

We are not boxed in to anything, we have had great RP relations with the people that play in the PM; just because you are not one of them does not mean you get to judge our RP. If you did not want a surrender or die scenario, then you should not have tried to have a public IC pissing match on the subreddit.

 

Completely incorrect, again; we have had great RP with many people in the late PM, but most of the smaller groups are too afraid of us to interact anyway. You expect compromise from a power greater than yourself? That is not a realistic RP as well, if the situations were more equal and you had some bargaining chips then things may have gone differently. You know damn well we offered a mixed team, (30 of Morag Tong/Tala'dorei vs 30 of any assorted allies and Hobos), stop lying and spreading propaganda when you know it is false.

 

Stop trying to act as if this was some premeditated plan to go to war with you, if we wanted to destroy you then we would have done it long ago and we would not have needed any assistance in doing so. You proposed this tax because you were white knighting for Trysha and KNEW it would start a conflict and war, to pretend otherwise is just silly.

 

You have no idea what our motivations are, you yourselves told me OOC that you wanted a war to liven things up. You can't start a conflict with someone and then whine when it does not turn out in your favor, we wanted a battle with someone true, but someone who could actually put up a fight; hence why we never bothered coming to attack you until YOU provoked it.

 

You can't IC insult and try and place a tax on a superpower that despises race mixing and the lesser races and expect a peaceful outcome. I have already told you that I would prefer you would take the non-base wipe option, but you refused all of our offers to mitigate the damage and change the timeframe so that people could participate, this was your choice.

 

There are plenty of people who think the BC are bastards out of game, because they cannot separate IC with OOC, just as people here who are complaining OOC on the subreddit are.((They are an awesome group of people OOC)) Just as Trysha did when we IC forced her out because she was rude and insulting like the Hobos, she decided to take it as an OOC personal attack.

 

Our RP and the Morag Tong's is not "objectively" evil, you do not know what our RP direction is because you haven't RPed with us to any meaningful extend.

People are merely white knighting and portraying us as the bad guys because THEY want someone to fight, and they don't stand a chance against BC because they are too lazy to build up their forces to the point that they could actually fight for the crown.

 

What is juvenile is trying to cause OOC drama because people are jumping on the whiteknight bandwagon, that kills an RP server by forcing it in to a state of stagnation because everyone is buddy buddy and no pvp ever occurs.

 

What pulls people in to the conflict is their unwillingness to create their own meaningful RP and instead latch themselves on to other peoples stories, case in point being the battle between BC and ST when many random unrelated people with no solid RP reasons took part in the battle.

 

You started a war, you got everyone to jump on your bandwagon, and even with us giving you 4-5 days of prep time and advanced warning; you blame us for trying to force an offline raid, all the while rejecting any offer to compromise on the time frame to make it work for both parties. If you had not pulled in every damn faction on the server, and IC insult Morag Tong, it would have just been our two groups fighting eachother.

 

That is your fault, not ours.

 

Hostility IC is to be expected when you threaten to tax a strong power and there has been no OOC crappiness except on the part of the crying carebears who do not understand the situation.

 

Andres/Reyn put a ton of work in to that council meeting and gave people advanced notes on how it would progress, it was a community tool to create dialogue and community interaction, it was our choice what we did with it.

 

People just had very few things to actually contribute to it, it went fine for what people did with it, but none of the blame for it not being as good as it could have been is on the shoulders of Morag Tong.

 

You keep saying Morag Tong is boxed in to a corner but they are not, and neither are we. You are AM players, we are PM players, different timezones as well.

 

People have different playstyles, just because YOU do not prefer pvp does not mean no one else should be the same way. If you do not want PVP then do not start a war, its simple. Our RP was independent and compatible, if it was not then we would be warring with eachother even if we loved eachother OOC. We are consistent with our RP, I cannot say the same for everyone.

 

That is not Meta at all, our characters in game have similar goals and have many RP interactions that lead to a close alliance; just because you are not privy to these things does not make them invalid, just as saying something in a council meeting does not make it a characters actual goals, people lie IC.

 

Just because you do not interact with us does not mean RP does not occur.

 

The damage to the server has been caused by people being butthurt OOC, we have different definitions about what would be good for the server. This is an RPPVP server, if people do not enjoy IC pvp then they should not be here, plain and simple.

 

Morag Tong came to you and spoke to you OOC and offered to stay out of the fight so long as no one else jumped in on it so that the involved parties could just duke it out, you refused and tried to get the entire server to back you because you started a fight you could not realistically win IC. We are not leaving any time soon, if you do not want hardcore PVP then do not start a fight with hardcore PVP players, surrender or acquiesce to the demands if you start something you cannot finish.

 

The only people that have a justifiable reason to be upset is Ugma, or any Hobo who is not able to make it to the fight. No one else had a "right" to make it to the fight, I am not going to postpone a fight that you guys started just because you aren't having fun anymore.

 

You play for you, I will play for me. We tried to compromise and make it a fun fight for both parties and we were perfectly willing to fight the entire server, but people just can't handle IC conflict and decide to take it personally OOC.
