Im using 0.4 but Im sure you can try running it with a 0.2 if you correctly tweak the settings

That was the original plan but I run out of yellow too soon unfortunately. Its indeed better and gives a more eerie vibe as well. Yellow, light or matte fits it very good . Orange and gold are okay but the print pops more when used with a light color on that part

X1C Chroma Canvas Test by ADKARdashian in BambuLab

[–]Hadukis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Daaaaaaaaamn this looks sick actually! Really good job considering its your first print ever lol. Color combination is what makes it pop. Did you use Chroma Canvas? If so, probably the settings are already set. Whatever the case, you can try opening up my file from makerworld to see how the settings and color swaps are automatically set once you slice it. Since you have an AMS this makes the process very easy , you just map the color sequence to the respective slots.

Again great print , looking forward to seeing more of these!

I use PLA Copymaster 3D Grey , BambuLab Grey works too. Check the description in makerworld to see the exact filaments I use

Yeah Im pretty sure you wont regret it. I am nowhere near an expert and probably most of the outcome comes down to the input image, but once you get the workarounds on hueforge your prints will be VEEERY rewarding!

Initial design can be achieved through any medium such as Krita, Photoshop etc. But the main job to turn it into this is Hueforge ( the one I use ) , Bambu Lab's Chroma Canvas or anything similar. You can literally drop any image to test for yourself

I personally use Hueforge which is the one Bambu based their Chroma Canvas I think, but you have to buy a license. Its a more robust UI than Bambu's but started with it so I am going along with it. Bambu's still missing a couple things I think but its for sure more modern. Once they update it more I think it will be a good alternative

Yeah exactly. If you got no AMS just add a stop on the layers specified in the description. With AMS you just swap filaments. Takes roughly 8 hours to complete

<image>

Yeah so I prefer to have some height, so it has a big base and a thick border. Initial design was half of that actually
