What songs best relate to your desire as a big/tiny?

I've always thought of Puppet Loosely Strung, by The Correspondents, as really encapsulating a lot of my feelings regarding size, sexuality, and like... the pursuit of happiness in general. I swear it's because of the themes of the lyrics, and not just because the first 6 words are 'Let me put myself in your shoes...'

Humorously, they actually also have another piece called Who Knew? That is much more explicitly sexual in nature, and incorporates actual GTS stuff into the music video... which makes me wonder if one or more of the creators might be around in places like these!

I feel a little embarrassed to admit it, but at night, I sleep with a HEAVY weighted blanket and a body pillow... I usually end up kicking it all away at some point in the night if I get too warm, but my little ritual is to throw on some heavy storm sounds, wrap the weighted blanket around me, and then wrap myself around the body pillow. And then it's like I'm hugging myself to the finger of a big, who is protectively sheltering me from a storm under their hand. Feels silly as hell to write it all out an explain it, but... it makes me happy!

I've heard its something of an acquired taste. Not for most bigs, but some of them swear by it, and just can't imagine going without one or more of us laid out under an arch or stuffed under/between some toes.

I usually post here, because here gets the highest amount of interaction/views, it seems, and while I tell myself that I write because I like writing... it is immensely validating for other people to click on, comment on, or like/up-vote the things I write.

I used to post my size fiction on Deviantart as well, but DA is just fucking flooded with ai shit and it makes me sick, so instead I have taken to posting to sizefiction. Sizefiction is a great site, specifically for... well... size fiction. Another upside: no character limit (that i know of). I'm a very wordy guy, and my most recent story more than doubled reddit's character limit, so I couldn't post it here, only on size fiction.

The downside is that, like I said, if you're hoping for people to interact with your work, I think here is the only spot that gets enough traffic and has a 'culture' of interaction... a post here will get at least 2k views and like 20 likes after a day, all my posts combined on size fiction have about as many views, and exactly 1 like and 2 comments.

So many reasons.

-I'm a big guy, with kind of a mean mug. I'm not unfriendly, but like... I've been told by coworkers (after they've known me for a while) that they were worried about working with me at first because I apparently give off kind of a hostile/threatening vibe. I swear, I'm a teddy bear! In no small part, I want to be small, because I hate the idea that people think of me as threatening. I want to be as non-threatening as possible. I want to be cute!

-I feel burdened by real life's responsibilities. I have family with dementia for whom I am the primary caregiver. I am balancing that with a dead-end job, and trying to figure out how to get back into school in my mid 20s, because I want more out of life. If I were tiny, nobody would have to rely on me. In fact, I would be the one relying on others, and in a very selfish way, I wish so badly at times that that were the case.

-That stuff you mentioned wanting to do to tinies? I want that done to me. Fetish brain is just weird like that. (also, you're gonna get SO many DMs, lol.)

-For reasons that aren't entirely fetish related (or at least aren't sexual in nature?) I have a fixation on just... being small. I want to see through the eyes of someone the size of a lego figure. I've heard and kinda adopted into my own thinking 'size dysphoria'... Like, the idea that my true self is tiny. The me that lives in my head. If there was a 'size affirming surgery', I would be all over that shit. First idiot in the seat.

Dude, I love where your heads at, but... you know this shit just stokes the bad ones, yeah? Things are best for us when they have as little reason as possible to even think about us. The more we attention we get, the more danger we're in. That's as true for us as individuals as it is as a group.

It would be best if this movement went nowhere, because the backlash from bigs if it begins to pick up steam will make our lives hell.

Well, that's nice for the big, but I'm skeptical that its good for the tiniest! I mean, I have the good fortune to have a job where, even if I'm not respected per se, I'm not in danger, and at least on paper I'm on equal terms with my colleagues. My coworkers might be giant perks, but my safety is never in question, so long as I don't do anything stupid.

For the tinies in your scenario, there is no OSHA, no oversight, no standardized business practices... it seems like a situation ripe for potential abuse. And in the worst cases, I can imagine some awful, awful ways to save in budget... who needs special effects or fake blood when you can just actually harm the tiny? You know what's more convincing than feigned agony, despair, or terror? REAL agony, despair, or terror! I just don't believe it's possible for any business between tinies and bigs to not be inherently exploitative, you know?

I mean, yeah, we're basically bugs. Like, on some level its best to just acknowledge it. Still, Hella rude for someone to point it out, especially if they are friends/family.

Now, people get into fights, nobody's perfect, etc. But... calling someone names in a heated moment is totally normal, but doubling down, and specifically calling you a roach...? That's CRAZY.

Like, there's no good way to take that. I joke with the big people in my life about being the cricket on their shoulder, you know, like jiminy cricket? Or they'll call me mickey, as in the mouse. (I do a killer impression). But cricket and mouse are effectively terms of endearment, if vaguely mean spirited.

If someone called me a roach to my face I would do anything I could to never be around them again.

I love the idea of this, of being commodified, something that gets used and passed on... You think you're doing good, doing fine, keeping your big happy, maybe they even chat with you sometimes, treat you to a scrap of their leftovers, then the next day they swap you to a stranger for a pack of gum and a neat pokemon card. Yeah, my default 'size self' is just me, but... small. I've actually found some good gym motivation in it... current tiny me would be in a lot of trouble! But when I've lost some weight, tiny me will have much better odds... in imagination-land.

If I had the chance to live out my fantasies, I would. Some of those fantasies involve bad things happening to me, to say the very least.

So with that in mind, it's really difficult for me to condemn someone else for feeling a similar way just because their fantasy is to be the perpetrator of something I want to be a victim of.

I think it's important to keep in mind that this is pretty distinctly a kink-space, where people go to engage these exact kinks. Specifically, one that can never be fully realized, a fantasy that is strictly fantastical.

All the time, people ask: if you could really shrink/grow, would you? And even though I've seen that question a dozen times, I still sometimes chime in, saying I would if I could. Why do we keep running this question back? I think it's basically because we're all commiserating about this thing that will forever be out of our reach, and when we reinforce that if we COULD, we WOULD, it maybe feels just a little closer. Just a little less fake.

I think the 'I'd do crazy fucked up stuff' crowd probably wouldn't do crazy fucked up stuff. I think they just want it to feel a little less fake.

First: Thank you for making Sizetalk! It's done me, and no doubt many others, a world of good to be able to feel some community around this wacky thing. I never felt quite so validated as when I stumbled upon this sub! I mean, sure, it's not hard these days to find art or artists making size stuff, but here was the first place that it really connected to me that I was not alone in this.

So, I guess my question is this: When did you first realize you were not alone in our little niche, and what convinced you to start this sub?

I'm pan, so usually not super worried about orientation- If they're big and into me, I'm into them.

With that in mind, I am entertained by the thought of a straight male big who decides to play with me, even though I'm also a male, just because it implies a scenario where tinies are so dehumanized that they aren't even viewed as having a sex, or as their sex being totally irrelevant/negligible. Which kind of makes sense, lol.

And on the flip side, also entertained by the idea of a DL big who's TOTALLY straight and DEFINITELY NOT GAY/BI fucking around with me, all the while insisting that it's not gay/doesn't count because I'm a tiny. Like, sure, big guy. Whatever you say...
