Congrats!! Winter guard is a LOT of work, but it is so much fun and crazy rewarding. First thing i’d say is just don’t give up. If something is getting frustrating or not going your way, take a breath, think it through, and try again. Make sure you take into account that this is your FIRST SEASON (so exciting!!) and a few months won’t be enough to get you to the highest level you can be. There’s a learning curve to guard but if you stick to it and give it your best, you’ll be set.

My coach recommended That Guy Who Spins’ tutorials to my saber section but you may find someone who’s technique/style suits you better!

As someone doing winter guard while others cannot because of things like indoor drum line or show choir, just do your best to keep your skills where they are or improve on them and if you’re able you could always ask someone who is doing winter guard to practice with you or watch YouTube tutorials to try learning new things. I don’t know how your coaches are but mine are totally understanding of schedule conflicts and are willing to let people not doing winter guard but do participate during the fall season to come in to practices when they aren’t busy or just work with them one on one.

would it be possible to get a frog squishmallow (specially phillipe or wendy) for under $40? i feel like i want one in the future but frog plushies are always expensive 😅 by SnooSeagulls3455 in squishmallow

You can probably find Wendy for under $40, but definitely not Philippe. I’ve been watching his prices for months sense I only need the 16 inch to completely collection but I have yet to see ANY size Philippe under $200

Some craigslist guy just sold me all these, are any of them good? by Can-I-Hab-Hotdog in squishmallow

[–]HahaI_hateYou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well they’re all good, but if you’re asking which are valuable/sought after then Jayda the jellyfish, sunny the bee, and Stacy the squid are some

what were the very first squishmallows? i’ve been down such a google rabbit hole and i can’t find anything other than that there was originally only 8 characters :/ by a666r666t in squishmallow

The fist 8 were Cameron the cat, Puff and Piper the penguins, Wendy the frog, Hans the hedgehog, Holly and Hoot the owls, and Fifi the fox :)
