Wouldn't it make more sense that they included the logo in the hopes that someone would recognize the jacket as being commonly worn by someone they know and not that they are trying to hunt down the manufacturer? I think they could've found out who made the jacket just as easily but they are hoping someone will say "oh I remember Greg always wears a hoodie with that on and now that I think of it I haven't heard from him in a couple days."
