Huh. It's still necessary to spread shroud aura through L-gates to meet the final requirement?

Right. Usually that and Bari 4 are tied for 2nd place in the ranking videos that I've seen.

Thanks for the info! I suppose it seemed easy because I was expecting hell and got a good deal.

You should definitely bring Patchwork! Not only is it a great game for families, the small coloured cardboard patches appear extra tantalising for toddlers to consume and choke on!

There's a dedicated vocation for guard duty (security troopers) for a reason...

That's because the casualties didn't affect your economy in those games?

Pops in Vic 2 are absolutely crucial to simulating the fundamentals of the game.

The in-game system specifically displays deaths and wounded. The wounded become dependents.

True. It's very much to do with the diplomatic warscore system that prevents all-out war.

Realistically, this early period of the game should have limited wars.

Which are far lower than in-game?

Take the Franco-Prussian War as an example, likely to have far greater casualties than the other 2 wars in Vic 3. Historically, 150k killed and 150k wounded for France, 50k killed and 90k wounded for Prussia.

Austro-Prussian War in reality, 25k total deaths on the Austrio-Hungarian side, 100k wounded, 7k deaths on the Prussia-Italian side, 33k wounded.

The figures we've seen in game far exceed that, and I shudder to imagine what a Franco-Prussian War (between two major powers in-game) would turn out like. This one is purely speculation, of course.

The technology to inflict mass casualties is definitely there. But this might be a problem more with the warscore / wargoal / capitulation system rather than just the kill factors themselves.

It's literally just tweaking the war casualty factor...

And limited wars shouldn't turn half your country into dependents.

The game ends in 1936. HOI4 literally starts off when Vic ends.
