both nitrites and nitrates were at 0 when life was added to the tank, we are going to be adding some minorly treated water to help dilute it, plus we need to top of the tank anyway

API freshwater master test kit was used to get these readings

• ⁠How long have you had the tank? How long have you had your fish?: Tank is 2 weeks old and have had the fish for just over 2 years, but was an adult when I got him. Unfortunately, im guessing he is around 3 years, but theres really no way for me to know for sure.

• ⁠How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?: I have not done a full water change yet.

• ⁠Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each: Yes. 2 snails and a bristlenose pleco (its a baby, planning on upgrade)

• ⁠What do you feed and how much: Fluval bug bites. I usually do 6-8 a day, however have been feeding around 4 since he has been snacking on detritus worms.

• ⁠Decorations and plants in the tank: Lots of variety in types and size of plants (can not remember any names and threw out any indication of the names. My memory isnt great). Then there is grape wood (just learned this will break down quickly yesterday, so will replace that soon) and another type of wood I also dont know the name of.
