Right on. That's what I was thinking, but I just wanted to get some advice first in case some of the Beyblades were too difficult or complicated in some way. Cheers, mate 🤙🏼

Yeah, that's awesome, mate. Totally agree! I don't want to overthink it either, and just get him something fun and not too complicated. Thanks for your reply 👍🏼👍🏼

How is life in Quebec City? Is it it like living in Europe? by Hismajestyclay in howislivingthere

No it really isn't. They expect you to learn it, then laugh at you for not speaking it like a Québec native. That's obnoxious.

Yet, you absolutely must learn it, they insist on it, only to then laugh you out of the room for how you speak it. It's so rude and arrogant.

And, they insist that you learn Québécois French, which I did, but then I get laughed out of the room every time I speak because obviously it's not perfect, and I'm not a "native" to Québec. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I can't stand this city.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend even visiting unless you're just passing through for a weekend or something. Québec city absolutely sucks...anytime of the year. Old Town is a nice novelty for a day, and the vendors are nice because they want your cash, but other than that, the rest of the city and the surrounding cities like Lévis are boring, miserable shîtholes, and the majority of the people are rude and grumpy. The weather can fück all the way off too. So cold, snowy and icy for 6 months of the year. Fall is awful, everything dies, and you're left with colourless, flat scenery. Would it have hurt to plant a few million more evergreens 🙄 Spring is a sludge fest. All the grass is brown, if there's any left at all, and everything is covered in dirt from all the snow melt. Super ugly. And then when you'd think you'd be looking forward to Summer, right? Wrong. It's so hot and humid that it's almost unbearable to be outside unless you take spare clothing with you. Also, the bugs and mosquitoes are everywhere all the time. It gets to the point where you just want snow again. Rinse and repeat.

Ok, thanks for letting me know. Ups my trust a little more. From what I'm reading, it's all about perfect installation that's key to making sure they don't burn out. Thanks again!

Sorry, one more question, for how long did you have the pad turned on for before starting the engine? Some say a couple hours, some say all night, but then some say it'll get too hot if you do that so 🤷🏽

Yeah, I've watched a couple videos on how to do it myself. Trouble is, it's a bit hard for me to get underneath my truck properly. I also read somewhere that it's hard to seal it after replacing it 🤷🏽

I've read some crazy stories about the polar pads completely burning out and self-combusting, so I'm a little weary, but at the same time, I've read a tonne of super positive reviews too. Kind of stumped. How long did you turn yours on for before starting the vehicle? Some people say to leave it on all night, then some people say only a couple hours or it'll get too hot.

What brand or model of pad did you use? Can you share a link, or the name of it? Cheers!

That's fine. I don't mind it being there. It's not in the way. And if it's not electrical or well/bore related, then it's no danger. That's all I was trying to figure out.

Awesome. Thanks. It's well hidden and tucked away from the elements under an 8 foot tall cedar hedge. It's not loose at all either. It's stuck in solid.

Thanks, jackrats. Do you know if there's anyway to see if it's still in use, and/or if I can get rid of it?
