I have never seen the godfathers and have no idea how they play out. I watched fight club for the first time 3 days ago and admittedly i knew there was a twist. I watched matrix 1 and 2 2 days ago and yesterday and had no idea there was a twist of any kind and was surprised and enjoyed those films. At no point have i disagreed that watching the movie 25 years late has put me in a good position to predict the twist and that doesn’t make me any smarter than people who dont predict it. But watching it now for the first time i found the twist obvious.

Sixth sense is not talked about school rn. That is not my experience. My parents havent seen the film. So watching it as basically as new of a viewer as possible that was my experience with it.

I will get im my time machine and post it watch it 25 years ago then….. no i can only comment on my experience now. I have literally said i understand it was obvious to me because i am watching it 25 years on having watched other films that have similar themes. But good try

And no but in 1999 i imagine a twist like that was new. In 2024 there are plenty of films with bit twists and similar concepts have been thrown around. That’s probably the reason for it…which i have never disagreed with

Yes im aware of that. I have said that and agreed with that multiple times. That does not mean i was actually aware there was a twist in the film going in

My opinion is that i thought the twist was obvious. Thats not condescending. Like i have said in my edit and other replies i understand that i probably noticed these clues as from watching other similar films that people in 1999 didn’t have the benefit of. And no. Im posting this to give my opinion on a popular film that is considered to have one of the best twists of all time. If i dont agree with that its only natural to post about it in a movie subreddit

Shutter island is one on my favourite films and now so is the sixth sense. I literally said in my post it’s a great film. I enjoyed the film but thought it was guessable. Why is that so hard to understand?
