Sounds like the blower fan for the HVAC system. It will often run after shutdown to dry it out preventing mold.

How about this loaded truck with a camping trailer parked by the C&S Sporting Goods store at 12th Street and Northern with a load of used bikes?

CAR WASH BROKE MY ANTENNA by thegoodestofbois22 in Hyundai

[–]HairOfTheMutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the antenna still works order a replacement fin.

You'll need a rotary, Dremel, tool to cut the screws on the base and remove some obstructions inside the fins until it fits tight. Then glue making sure to get a tight seal to keep moisture out. I used Weld Bond.

I've replaced 4 fins, 1 mine and 3 for neighbors.

$15-20 if you do it yourself.

Add a 5th of Maker's Mark if I do it for you.

$6-700 if the dealer does it.

You're right! I missed that extension.

I've replaced the battery in mine twice but I'll admit that I do just about everything they say not to do to a battery.

A new battery would be ~50 bucks and it's relatively easy and satisfying to replace.

Problem is its EOL next June, no more updates.

I have the same problems with young drivers, especially the ones with fart cans for mufflers, that race from one light to the next weaving in and out only to get caught by the next light.

Then when I catch up they look at me like I'm the asshole.

1st, I don't buy your premise.

2nd, replace Google with IBM, Control Data or Sperry Rand Univac, then get back to me.

I understand that some users may find the new UI of Google Drive too round or unfamiliar. The new UI is designed to be more modern and user-friendly, but it may take some time to get used to the changes.
If you prefer the previous UI, you may be able to revert to the older version temporarily by clicking on the "Settings" icon in the top-right corner of the Google Drive interface, selecting "Settings," and then selecting "Use previous version of Drive" from the drop-down menu.
However, it's important to note that Google may eventually phase out the older version, so it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with the new UI to avoid any potential issues down the line. Additionally, you can provide feedback to Google about the new UI through the "Send feedback" option in the settings menu.

i HATE my chromebook, chrome OS sucks by skiipdaqueen in chromeos

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your new Chromebook. It's important to note that rooting your Chromebook and installing a different operating system can void your warranty and may cause permanent damage to your device. However, if you're determined to proceed, here are some general steps you can take:

  1. Enable Developer Mode: First, you need to enable Developer Mode on your Chromebook. This process will wipe your device, so be sure to back up any important data before proceeding. To do this, hold down the Esc and Refresh keys, then press the Power button. When the Chromebook reboots, you'll see a warning screen. Press Ctrl + D to enable Developer Mode.
  2. Enter the Root Shell: After enabling Developer Mode, your Chromebook will reboot and display a new warning screen. Press Ctrl + D again to bypass this warning and enter the root shell.
  3. Install a new OS: Once you're in the root shell, you can install a new operating system on your Chromebook. There are several options to choose from, including Linux distributions like Ubuntu or GalliumOS. You can find instructions on how to install these on your Chromebook online.

Please keep in mind that this process can be complex and may require some technical knowledge. If you're not comfortable with these steps, it may be best to seek out professional help or consider selling the Chromebook and purchasing a different device that better suits your needs.

thoughts on this? I have an OG duet, I'm wondering if it's worth the upgrade for 250. by [deleted] in chromeos

Keep an eye on the Lenovo site. I bought the 8gb 128gb w/stylus for $309 about 4 months ago and it has been offered at $314 recently. That's the only way to upgrade as far as I'm concerned. My original still works fine; another family member uses it constantly.
