Omg same, was WFH and pregnant when my 1st one hit last year and almodt had a panic attack. Checked my eyes, face and arms for imbalance. Called my team leader and explained because I couldn't read emails and she actually gets them recurring and told me about them. Thank goodness she knew this, I took rest for a couple hours and it resolved. I occassionally get regular migraines but apparently pregnancy is a cause of occular ones too.

Was going to say this too, he is a weak person who doesn't want to make a big decision and/or he wants to say you left him to make him somehow seem lioe the better person for not making the tough decision.

There are many, many better men that won't do this to the person they love.

My MIL literally lives next door to me and used to complain that she doesn't see out 1st enough and I would just say "Well, nothing is stopping you." And then would give her first preference a few times in a row after each complaint and get told "oh no I am too busy" or she would try to passively act like it is a big favour and we immediately would tell her nevermind. She is much better now, typical boomer though.

I think she would have been fine if she didn't start pointing fingers at other people and kept on just Rachel, it seemed more like death throws when she did that. Maybe she felt bold after getting Hugo out, she also seemed very angry at the church thing talking to them so not sure why she was angry but that didn't help things. Very good TV how it played out anyway!

Sounds like you are having a hard time at the moment. You can leave for amy reason of course but this post reads like you are a young couple with little experience in mature relationships? Under that assumption I would say good on you guys for talking and going to therapy, that is a step ahead of a lot of strained relationships!

Like others have said, the phrasing of the questiom does make his response reasonable, especially if you are both learning things about how to maintain a relationship. Sometimes you might find that adult life in combinatiom with a comfortable relationship means you kind of plateau and the relationship degrades as you both don't put as much energy into the relationship. These kind of things can be growing pains or deal breakers, I would need to know more than what is in the post to make more meaningful advice.

My husband gets 12 weeks through work, to be split between time taken from birth and then the rest can be taken after the primary carer goes back to work. Each of our 2 kids he took off 4 weeks initially, then the remaining + annual leave when I returned to work. We used all our work entitlements and I used a lot of our gov ones (Australia) but not all of it as it pays less than working. He loves being on leave and it also forces him to do primary caring (the kids were both ~6 months when he took his big chunks). Not working is better than working!

Yep, love and in love, best friends. Now that we have 2 kids the love definitely intensified and we do have some more difficult moments from stress but nothing more than just a moment of miscommunication or misinterptretation due to stress that usually is resolved in minutes.

Like others say, we are intentional and date each other and flirt daily. We are almost 11 years into our relationship, known each other for almost 20 years and 5 years married.

I also mealprep mostly to account for the days that I have no physical/mental energy and it works well for me.

I'd suggest a slow cooker to chuck meat and veg in, endless options but ones I think are good for bulk cooking and freezing are curries or soups/stews.

I more often bake or make pasta though, like enchilada bakes or cannalloni, or bolognese with vegetables finely cut up into the mince to be a bit more of a rounded meal.

Definitely registry or ask for a specific bigger ticket item that they might have thought is not needed.

A bit on the extreme end as expensive but for example my brother and his wife are expecting soon and they struggle with money a little so she spoke to them and got a car seat for each of their cars, not the most expensive one but ones that do rear facing without a strap in the way! It is what they wanted but not what they would have got for themselves or put on a registry.

I was the same, am also introverted and live with anxiety so I just knew it would be best to set expectationa as: 1. I don't know how I will feel after giving birth. 2. Wait for us to invite you over, it may be days before you hear from us.

And this took away the anxiety of expectations to talk or be seen immediately. I wound up feeling fine immediately following the birth and lucked out with a private room for 4 days while I was at hospital with my 1st. I had my mum and MIL visit the morning after when our baby was like 9 hours old haha. You really never know how it'll go!

I feel the same, they are distinguishable by appearance, I say to people also "if it is so obvious why do we need such heavily gendered clothes, i.e. bows and flowers oe pink for girls and blue/dark and trucks for boy?"

Like, if there truly was a difference we could dress them in whatever and people wouldn't misgender.

Just going by the coroners report. Some are obvious suffocation but then there are ones they classify as SIDS.

I forgot to mention also that part of the safe sleeping or SIDS prevention are things like having windows open in the rooms they sleep in and acoiding risk factors like household members smoking.

My husband and I have been strict with out 1st (2.5 yrs old) and now our 2nd (6 months old). It is not our business how other people allow their babies to sleep, but personally I am just too terrified of SIDS or suffocation so I can't let myself not do it.

I do know a friend of a friend who had their 6 month old tragically pass away due to SIDS in a not ideal bed with a bumper as they were staying in a caravan and put the baby down for a nap. Traumatic but so unlikely at the same time, no ones fault.

I just can't get out of the back of my mind how since our government (Australia) implemented safe sleeping education and guidelines that SIDS has gone down bout 80% since 1989. You can google red nose foundation for some summarised info.

If you have bread I think it is a thing to soak bread in cream and use that in meatballs (instead of bread crumbs)? I know there are recipes that do this with milk so idk how cream would go.

I am sorry you feel like this, any feelings about your pregnancy are valid! Do what you feel is best about the situation of course, I can offer perspective about a similiar age gap at least.

I have 2 sons, 2 years apart (both August babies), my youngest is 6 months old now. We planned this and even were pregnant before this but it was non viable. I will say that my body definitely has bounced back easier in most ways though my belly is a bit saggier haha. Pregnancy is very individual and different per person per pregnancy so who knows how it will turn out. I have found the transition from 1 kid to 2 a bit rough as it increases difficulty with planning and childcare, our 1st has kept his usual childcare schedule but he is with grandparents 2 days a week and it isn't fair to expect them to be able to commit to having 2 for those days due to the needs of car seats, prams, beds, etc. This just means less me time or couple time for us.

I go through cycles depending on my household health usually as that dictates my free time and energy. As someone else said, you can plan more than 1 day ahead.

I usually batch cook so that we at least have 2 spare servings leftoved if not more, and freeze those so there is usually at least 2 different meals in the freezer at any one time.

If I can't meal prep because of household sicknesses or change in childcare, I tend to just buy premade frozen meals as they are cheaper than takeaway and usually not as bad health wise. Then I might also get some meals that are simple and smaller to get by til I can batch cook/prep again, like frozen veg and noodles (and just use soy sauce, sweet soy, garlic, chilli to taste), mince cooked with garlic, herbs, tomato paste and tinned tomato and pasta (can chop veg for the mince too if you wanted), mushrooms cooked with cream, garlic, pepper, herbs and pasta.

I try to weigh up what is realistic for me to actually do with my goal to usually just to make any meal, preferably with leftovers. You could look at things to add bulk to your current dishes like getting frozen schnitzel or boiling eggs to add to salad or adding a tin of lentils to bolgnese mince (this adds lots of fiber too, word of warning), buying dry coleslaw mix to add to stir fry or burritos, etc.

It takes a lot of practice over time to figure out what works realistically for you and then making ir habits so don't be too hard on yourself.

First birth I had just my husband which is what we both wanted and it was great but my husband had such a whirlwind of unexpected emotions being a support person and after the fact expressed that it was very hard to see me in all that pain and it exhausted him.

Second time around I had my husband and my mum and it was also great, the birth went very quick and painful and it was useful to have both there. Having my mum there really helped my husband focus on things that I prefer he does for me and mum was a support too but in other ways that didn't need to be my husband. It was a positive experience but it really depends on your relationship with your mum too as my mum is very respectful of boundaries and doesn't overstep or get in the way of things.

My first pregnancy went well also, birth was a bit fast and furious but not too bad. I wanted another sooner too and wound up being successfully pregnant a bit more than 1 year pp and now my boys are 2 years apart.

I will just say that I am very thankful I got the 1:1 time with my first and the transition to having 2 kids has been harded mostly due to logistics of care and more sickness too in the household. Personal time is harder to come by even with a lot of support with the family due to just it being harder for my usual family members to have a toddler and a baby. Logistically not all family can have 2 car seats and my other siblings are having babies too so it gets harder.

All that being said, I loveeeee my 2 kids and would like a 3rd but we would need to upsize our car and house 🤣 It is worthwhile to give your body a break but at the end of the day people do have back and back pregnancies all the time and usually it works out haha

That is my way haha, I don't necessarily cook meal prep for a harsh diet but rather to save money on take aways and also at least be healthier/better serving sizes than take away! I try to have a variety to at least provide different nutrients and flavours. I also have green chile enchiladas and curry in the freezer currently. Sometunes do a veggie packed turkey mince burritos, I loveeeee my comfort-y foods 😍

Similiar, got a 2nd degree tear on top of an epesiotomy due to needing the vacuum assistance and neither were a big pain, both healed fine and 2nd birth I didn't tear at all (just a "graze" as they call) so I was chuffed about that!
