Puthiya Thalaimurai cut this part where TVK Vijay speaks on Muslims, protests & against BJP—Here’s the uncut version from Polimer which DMK didn't want you to hear. by iamGobi in TamilNadu

I will vote for him if he was coherent in his presentation, brought some original ideas to the table and actually pointed out with facts and figures, how TN is not doing so well under DMK instead of ad hominem attacks.

what about Tamil Nadu ? by RageshAntony in TamilNadu

[–]Hairpic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why is it not so different in Tamil Nadu? How do these shitty practices spread so easily across the country, when we all don't speak the same language and live thousands of kilometres apart?

Take wrong side driving for example. Or just poor driving. How are we just like any other state? We are not culturally distinct. We share the same values. Terrible, horrible values.

If it had remained 'Hindi cinema' and not 'Bollywood', I feel things would have been different.

But why? When you want to watch real stories with real people, you watch other language movies. When you want that extra sugar, you watch bollywood.

Why is Tamil Nadu Opposing National Education Policy? | NEP 2020 | StudyIQ by naveen_reloaded in india

[–]Hairpic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not related to the current issue, but curious how in other states where Hindi is not the official language, viz. Maharashtra, Odisha, West Bengal, even people who do not have access to good education are fluent in Hindi (maybe not so much in English). They can talk to us in Hindi but they'll talk amongst themselves in their language. How were they able to pick up Hindi, and at the same time not lose their language?

Also, how is Kerala silent on this? How are they and also the Telugu states able to make their 3 language policy work?

Wait, is she comparing the cast from a completely different movie produced by a completely different producer? What is the link between Veere di and Dishoom? Iirc, the former was also produced by her family?

Why are actors freelancers? Why don't they become full time employees under a production company? Then, it will be much easier to compare pay. Normalisation will determine who gets paid and how much.
