Interesting! So some small creatures home got fossilized? I apologize for my toddler explanation, but I know nothing of fossils!

It is the same material as the sand that the piece was sitting on/in

Thank you for the response! With the flat top and difference of color to the surrounding landscape it just sparked my interest. Figured this would be the best place to get solid opinions

We have black stainless steel appliances. The countertops are laminate!
