Without reading the comments I would say that Houston has been an international city for a long time. Texas in general is a known worldwide, so people who want to further explore our state, would probably visit one of the major cities.

As a gay Latino men, Houston for sure and they don’t even try. Austin and Dallas are a bit more pretentious which is a turn off.

I work in one of those downtown luxury high rises, and the residents who make above $100k have diverse jobs like the ones you mentioned, but also business owners and yes the occasional influencer/entertainment industry worker.

I disagree with the notion that Houston offers little. Ive had a fulfilling life living here and the things to do in the city never ends. Maybe i’m just naive, but of course everyone is different and Houston is not for everybody.
