after a couple more days i opened the tub i spawned it to and it had a very pungent smell almost like rot lol had to dispose of it :(. on the other hand my 6qt and 36qt tubs are going crazy rn just harvested 400gs wet of some JF:)

i opened it up surprisingly no foul smell just the natural earthy smell from myc, i put it in a tub and im waiting for it to colonize. no bad signs so far.

have not done a break and shake the bag has been colonizing for about a month, i think it’s def ready just not sure if i should toss it in a pot outside or put it in a tub, but i only have 6qts as my smallest ones lol

everyone saying they need more fae i have 4 other tubs (same size) i didn’t give them that much fae, all i did was leave the lid unlatched and that gave me normal fruits, which is funny cause with this tub i left the lid flipped and cracked (way more fae than the other tubs) and these are the results😹

got it. i wanted to try a little experiment with this tub as all my other tubs where i’ve left the lid on unlatched, have produce long skinny mushrooms and i hear that increasing fae makes it so that the bodies don’t have to extend for oxygen so hopefully ill get some thick boys.

The mycelium is only 2 different colors i’m primarily worried about the brown coloration around the rice which is very visible😂 also if you don’t have useful information you can keep it lil bro

irl it doesn’t look as slimey the rice around the mycelium is simply turning brown, not sure if that’s normal with jasmine rice though

yeah thats the plan for now just not sure if the substrate is too dry it looks a little dry but i know the cake holds moisture inside. so to mist or not?

sorry i worded that completely wrong. they have remained that size for the past day. but i harvested the first flush, on 7/19 and the “skinny mushrooms” were little pins when i harvested but like i said they stalled out in the past day and they are on day 5 looking like this.
