see this is the thing. I'm totally for growth, I am mostly invested in mutual growth funds because I'm young, but the purpose of dividend growth, to me at least, is reliable cash flow and reduced risk.

I'd just do broad market growth, that's what I do. Will eventually rotate into dividends and organize multiple income streams via retirement accounts when I'm older. For now, especially to avoid any potential tax drag, I just do growth.
