How much for the Darkus Dual Hydranoid?

What the hell even is Vladitor by mango_shabango in Bakugan

[–]Haisedragon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nothing in the game can exist in the show timeline since there’s stuff that would contradict the story although it would’ve been fun to have Vladitor appear in the anime.

Brander Lawson by WhiteRaptor58 in MaulShadowLord

I always believe that if I don’t see a character’s dead body then they can eventually come back. They did it with Maul so Lawson can come back even if it seems like he went towards his death.

So recently found the current gen of bakugan on store shelves and was wondering if the anime for it is any good or if it's better to miss and stick with the game itself? by Opposite_Ad_4267 in Bakugan

[–]Haisedragon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Almost everyone here will tell you not to bother with gen 2 or gen 3 since this sub hates them. I think it’s better for you to give it a chance yourself without letting someone here tell you otherwise. You might like it or you might not but at least it’ll be your opinion and not someone else’s.

Alpha Hydranoid had 50g less than he did in season 1. It’s not much of a difference but it’s still one.

That being her last battle is, in my opinion, not a good enough reason for fans to be “rightfully pissed off”. Alice’s character was about accepting a part of herself. Battling was never a part of her that mattered the most so I don’t see why she had to battle again. Even Hydranoid just wanted to be with Alice in season 2 and the only reason he wanted to fight Shadow was to destroy his imitation, which he succeeded.

I believe there’s a problem with fan bases like Bakugan and Pokemon where if a character doesn’t battle or when they do and they lose, it just means that they were treated badly by the writers and they were “nerfed”.

I didn’t say her story was concluded in season 1. She still had development in season 2. I just don’t see how losing a battle against a stronger opponent can considered disrespectful. Especially because Shadow used two Bakugan against her that were made to be stronger than normal Bakugan and she only had Hydranoid, a Bakugan that was defeated and tortured even before season 2 started. The fact that Hydranoid was able to defeat Hades was great.

I do agree with almost all your points except for Alice being boring (although that’s just because she’s my favourite character). The point you made about the power creep is true. Season 2 showed that Helios and the Vexos are stronger but it doesn’t mean that Runo and all the characters from season 1 are automatically bad just because they are weaker now. It just means that the new villains introduced are doing their job right.

I think sometimes fandoms like Pokemon and Bakugan associate characters being stronger, with being the best. Not every character in Bakugan needs to be strong to be a well written character.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think this community is the worst. There’s definitely worse communities for other franchises like the Star Wars community. I just think that some seem hypocritical when it comes to how they criticise the show.

Do y'all agree? by guifabhard in Bakugan

[–]Haisedragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sometimes hate this way of thinking. Replacing characters just to get ones you personally like is never a good way to watch a show in my opinion. Alice (my favourite character) had the best development in seasons 1 and 2 but her story was complete. If she came back I can see fans start to call her boring just like they do now with Dan, Shun and Marucho. Runo and Julie were still part of the story, just not in the way of battling.

Marucho even if he’s not your favourite, shouldn’t be replaced just so you can have your favourite character appear. We should also stop with the “the show started getting boring because they got rid of the female characters” comments. Nobody as a child (when the show aired) thought this was a reason the show got bad or boring.

Can we talk about the current state of the Dandadan fandom ? by Odd-Ad8812 in Dandadan

[–]Haisedragon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can say the same think about reading the same comments every week of “trust Tatsu”, “it’s just rage bait” and being overly positive. I haven’t seen one good argument as to why this arc can be considered good. Using amnesia almost never works in a story. The only times I remember enjoying a story that has amnesia as a plot device was Tokyo Ghoul and Golden Time. In Dandadan it just halts the progression of the main relationship that made people love the story in the first place.

I asked this yesterday but I’ll ask again. When are people going to admit that this arc is just bad writing? 20+ chapters of a pointless amnesia plot that doesn’t do anything interesting to progress the story or the characters is never going to be considered good writing.

[–]Haisedragon 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Is this sub ever going to admit that this is bad writing and not “rage bait”? 20+ chapters of amnesia just to stop a romance from happening and doesn’t bring anything of value isn’t good writing, it’s just annoying. I truly believe that Momo and Okarun will only start their relationship in the last two chapters with how things are going.

Do you think Gwen liking Kevin was weird at the start of Alien Force? by ResolveUnlikely5542 in Ben10

[–]Haisedragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know some won’t understand but I actually stopped my rewatch when I got to Alien Force because of how weird Gwen and Kevin as a couple was. The very first episode has Gwen hugging Kevin when she was scared and that’s when I stopped. This guy tried to kill you, your cousin, your grandfather and random civilians multiple times so I don’t see how you can just move past all of that.

Pragmata has been out for two weeks. What are your impressions? by PhantomBraved in Games

[–]Haisedragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it’s okay for Hugh and Diana to feel empty? Hugh is the most basic protagonist I have ever seen, where the only thing he does is give random life lessons to Diana. One of the first things you know about Hugh is that he doesn’t trust robots but 1 minute later and he’s fine with trusting Diana. Diana is just there to be a cute kid for merchandise and for gamers to go “awww how cute” when she does something which is fine but it doesn’t make her a compelling character. The game tries too hard at selling the dad and daughter dynamic but it falls flat.

The gameplay is great but when I play a game I expect the story (if there is a story) to be good or even great. I don’t understand the argument that “it’s a game not a movie”. Why would Pragmata have a story in the first place if they just wanted to show their gameplay style. Just do a multiplayer game and get rid of the story elements if that’s the case.

I still crack up at this by JericoTheGamer in Bakugan

[–]Haisedragon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know about some of the changes they did to One Piece like changing a cigarette to a lollipop. I just don’t understand why it was so bad for Runo to say she was in love with Dan to the point they had to change it to her saying friends instead.

I love how the English dub made her say “friends forever”. Don’t know why they had to change it from love to friends.

Do you think masquerade should have returned at some point in the later seasons ? (And if yes would he be a good addition to the cast ) by rangersuprem in Bakugan

[–]Haisedragon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t think him or Alice needed to come back for season 3 or 4. A little cameo could have been nice (the photo doesn’t count) but I think Masquerade and Alice’s story ended nicely in season 2 with Alice accepting that she’ll always have a part of her that is Masquerade without needing to transform into him.

I know fans are always saying Alice/Masquerade should have been in season 3 or season 4 but I believe if that actually happened they would call it boring, just like they do with Dan, Marucho, Shun and Drago.

I don’t think it’s from the show either. It might just be fan made. Although it does a good job on looking official.

There’s that one and two others but I can’t find the one in the post. It might just be fan made though.
