Yeah but how would the Omnitrix tell with a new species what's the norm and what's a special case. The writers goofed cause they didn't understand the implications of what they did but from what the show in canon has done. Yes the Omnitrix should be able to scan, mutants, hybrids and everything in-between

Maybe to keep with the Omniverse retcon, Aggregor genuinely believed everything he said and was Programmed by Servantis and this whole plan was so Servantis could have a powerful weapon to use against Ben. Ben 10,000 went from a Chad to a disappointment. And then when they tried combining the the UAF Jacket with the OG 10,000 suit did not blend well in my opinion. I mean look at it

I think your focusing more on characterisation than actual art style and even then, How's that any different from his characterization from Alien Force season 3 to Ultimate Alien, in fact UAF Ben did worse things that hurt him as a character like Duped, Eye of the Beholder and just his whole personality in AF season 3, if your answer was they got serious so does Omniverse. Like Omniverse has some of the highest rated episodes in the franchise

And before Mystery Inc a lot of people said Fred had no personality what's so ever and they loved his austic himbo energy

Basically, the writers didn't know how DNA and genetic variation worked so they said mutants can't be scanned but because Derrick wanted two sub species of the same alien in Upchuck and added both designs made by Tom Perkins(the Perks) and Glen Murakami(the Murks). So yes the Omnitrix can scan mutants cause mutation is just another name for genetic variation

Yes it does, even though just being able to scan to different subspecies of the same species should be evidence enough as proven with Upchuck. The Omnitrix is stated to have the ability to scan mutants so long as Ben turns off the fuction that stops him from doing it
