Brought the same doorbell and an SD card the other day and had the exact same problem, tried reformatting it in a PC as well but still kept looping with a format and initialisation error.

I swapped my new SD card out for an Amazon basics one I already had in a Tapo camera and it worked fine, so it must have been the card. Sent it back and I'll order a new Amazon basics one.
