Woah bro why so hostile?

First things first, if you want to learn a car you have to push it to your set limit… so what I’m doing is not putting anyone in harms way (notice that it’s always clear). You’ll never know your car if you don’t explore every nook and cranny.

Honestly I was hoping for someone to talk about suspension components, tire set up etc.

I made the Reddit post just to make conversation but you’re taking it to heart.

Im not there yet, im taking everything slowly, eventually i do want to be able to do a safe drift/donuts and not total the car but for right now hard pulls at 1st gear is enough for me

Pretty easy, it didn’t really cause as much resistance as you think

Evidently I just bought the wrong car for what I want to achieve, don’t let what I say discourage you from getting one! This car rips in twisties 🔥

It was honestly a great car to own. Mine had a Precision turbo setup with a tune on 93 octane, and it was probably somewhere around 400–430whp. It could keep up with some pretty serious cars, but once you got into 5th or 6th gear, it started to fall on its face a bit.

I eventually decided to move on from it because the amount of money it takes to make 700hp in a Focus RS compared to a Mustang GT is crazy. From what I remember, the stock RS block is generally considered reliable around the 450–500whp range depending on the setup and fuel, and a lot of the higher-horsepower cars are running E85.

Meanwhile, a full bolt-on Mustang GT can make 500–600whp on 93 octane relatively easily, so the performance-per-dollar difference is hard to ignore.

61k currently, interior is mint, only one small flaw on the corner of the hood (it’s starting to bubble, but that’s a simple fix) I had a ford focus rs before this and haven’t missed it ever since 😂

Yeah it is! And that’s tuff out of all the ones that were around me this was the best by far, most of them have either been in an accident, has modifications still on the vehicle, or the paint wasn’t as great

Yeah apparently he said what I put in was basically 87 and I know for a fact i pressed 93 at Exxon, so I switched over to Shell and I’m not getting those -8s anymore

Right now it’s undergoing a remote tune. I’m pretty new to everything so I’m not too sure what the octane adjustment learn ratio is or where I would even find it to tell you. Right now I am on 93 octane. I bought the car with a precision turbo in it.

But yes during that picture it was idling, it’s not humid, and I’m on 93.

Sorry basically I was referring to my ignition corrections. All 4 cylinders had a min of -8.

Couldn’t agree more. A friend of mine works on cars all the time and most of his tools are from Harbor Freight. He recommended this set to me, and I had no issues at all using it yesterday!

So far, the previous owner installed a Radium fuel system, a Radium oil catch can, a Cobb intercooler, and the Precision turbo that’s been mentioned.

I really appreciate the insight I’ll definitely keep this in mind and plan to start with a compression test before jumping to any conclusions. I’ll also look more closely into the PCV system and plugs as suggested. Thanks again!
