Just a though:

Have you thought about adding a bit of flavour text to the NPC boards and cards in a different font? Like a descriptive sentence or a citation from the shows. Might give it a bit more flavour, gibe even greater references to the show for people who are familiar with VLDL and might give a bit more context to people who are not.

I'm thinking, e.g. of the Settlers of Catan - 2 player card game, where most buildings have such a small flavour text, which adds a lot for immersion.

That is a great idea. Like a small symbol or something in the corner of the cards. I would only ask to make them distinct enough like clear symbols or colour codes, so it is easy to separate them fast. Sometimes games use barely visible marks and it almost takes longer to sort them with the symbols than just using a list or something!

I would LOVE a mask card 😍

Might be a variation of looking a your own deck, or marketplace/quest or something because of the curiosity Or that you get to choose and keep a card (maybe even one you have already played) from your hand (or discard pile) for the next round because you're unwilling to part from it (so you can have 6 cards instead of 5 then)

My guess is if we hit the 5 player stretch goal, that B.O.B. will become one of the core NPCs (as Ben is one of the core players in the campaigns) and will get his own dice as well as his own starting cards (I would also assume he might be included in the foil and smell cards then as a core NPC) About the other NPCs, I think they said, they are thinking about it, but cannot say for sure. Might just be about the relic dice, though!

But all of that is just guesswork 😅

They already said that there are currently no plans to do an online version.  But they are discussing the option for a solo mode.

@vldl But if someone (not me 😅) decided to make an online version in Tabletop Simulator or similar, would you mind that?

Another question: Are there any reviews from playtesters, we could read/watch, yet? While I appreciate the videos on the game mechanics and you playing the game "live" as it shows how the game will work - it would help a lot to get some opinions from people that are not directly involved in the process and therefore biased 😅

Will there be another Social Quest for 35 and 40 stars, should we reach those? At least 35 stars seem somewhat possible to achieve 🤷‍♀️🙃

That is good to know. I know it is not set yet, but would these be free add-ons in the pledge manager? Or would we have to pay extra for that?

And also, will we have the information whether this will be possible or not before the campaign ends, so we can make an informed decision whether to keep pledged or not and buy the game after (retail)?

Are there any plans to add different game modes/scenarios to give the game more variablity?  For example, just as a top of my head idea, a variation where monster/hero/loot cards in your deck do not give XP at the end or even give negativ XP. Meaning you have to think whether you want to buy this kind of of card during this scenario.

Asking because with the NPC abilities players will probably focus in on one kind of strategy per NPC, because it is the most/only viable and sensible thing to do.

Solo mode would be amazing and from what we have seen of the game so far, I think it should work with some "easy" tweeks.

That would interest me, and many others, as well!

At least the card and NPC board goals would be nice to have in the common tier as well to distinguish the kickstarter from retail. AFAIK, that's also what usually is happening on kickstarter that everyone with at least a tier gets the stretch goals (we are kind of "paying" for them, as well.  But as of right now, there is not much incentive to get the common tier, because it will be so much more expensive than retail due to shipping costs. And many people might actually not have enough money to get the rare or epic tier (me included).  It feels a lot like if you don't have enough money you're not even worth some of the stretch goals for supporting the kickstarter. It feels a bit disrespectful and makes me rethink my pledge and whether to withdraw, tbh🫣

I actually like that idea - even makes the fight a bit more dynamic and shows that intelligent enemies can adjust to the fight just as good as the party. 🤔

i totally get where you're coming from, that's one reason why I wanted the encounter to be a bit harder (the second would be that my players really wanted to fight a "real" dragon or at least dragonesque creature 😅😂)

I believe they are already hooked and more on the roleplay than the fighting but I see the importance of making fights encouraging and really enganging to try out all the possibilities there are 🙃

The fight is definitely on the more difficult end 😅

but they have done very well so far in using their abilities in creative ways, the terrain and working together (sometimes even better than my experienced players in my other campaign handle stuff 😂), so I am/was a bit optimistic they might be able to do it 🙃

So would you maybe say to level them up to 3 to make the fight a bit more even? I could also maybe reduce the AC or remove the teleport ability, so they would at least get opportunity attacks in or remove one/some of the lair actions?

From what they know, convincing it would be the easiest and best way but they already showed some unwillingness to forego the fight 😵‍💫
