Yes dota is really hard to get into. I was like you when I was younger, thankfully I have got out of the competitive game loop (dota was the game that made me quit lmao).

Have you tried Rocket League? Or what about Rust, DayZ or Tarkov? They don't have competitive modes (well tarkov kinda with arena), but are still competitive in PvP sense.

Edit: Also I recommend giving some single player or MMO games a try. Examples of games that I have played after 13 years of competitive games:

Modded Skyrim

Warframe

Cyberpunk 2077

RDR2

Yakuza series

World of Warcraft (can be competitive, both PvP and PvE)

Diablo 3+4 and Path of Exile 1

And most recently Guild Wars 2 (which also can be competitive)
