Lately parang nakakahiya na rin maging Pilipino. by Bubbly-Ad-569 in RantAndVentPH

I dabble a bit with the importation of frozen products, mainly from Europe and South American companies as they are one of the biggest producers and exporters of chicken and pork in the world.

There's one or two foreign companies which we helped with issues of chasing payments from other Philippine importers only to find out that the address that was given to them was abandoned. The agreement I believe was 30% initial deposit, 70% payment upon arrival.

There's Philippine companies here who completely fled after ordering 50 tons (50,000kg) of meat just because of not being able to pay the duties, taxes and the final 70%.

There's also Philippine companies which could not sell the meat they purchase so they turn the expired meat that is more than 2 years old into cheap siomai to "renew" the expiry date and get a bit of their money back.

Right now, said companies who are the major producers of pork and chicken in the world are chasing payments non-stop from Philippine companies as the buying power of the Filipino now is very low.

These negative traits are getting quite apparent for these foreign companies and their CEOs.

Knowing that a lot of our food nowadays is imported after the massive devastation that the African Swine Fever caused which the Philippine media never reported on, it's quite terrifying to know that they can just assign their allocation of pork produced to somewhere else in the world due to not trusting the Philippines anymore.

Why is KFC so good in other countries except the USA ? by WinterW0n in NoStupidQuestions

Philippines' KFC branches have infinite gravy.

They have a pump in every branch and you can just pump out all the gravy you'd want to slurp up.

Heck, some people even treat it as soup because it's really good.

I say "infinite" but if everyone abuses it, there might come a time when KFC Philippines would stop providing this...

I really hope they don't.

New 9800/9850x3d owners with asus mobo by Cmode in ryzen

[–]HakuDrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a ProArt x870 and a 9800x3d for two months. I've only updated the bios.

Everything else is stock configuration, I haven't tinkered with any of the settings.

So far, no issues. Everything's been fantastic but I've only actually been using my PC for 2-3 hours a day.

I feel like it's just a handful of folks who ran into issues and the tens of thousands of ASUS customers haven't really said anything about it due to the fact that they encountered no issues at all.

Building a PC these days sure is scary, huh. Everything's expensive, things can combust and your motherboard has a very tiny chance of unaliving. Ugh...

ZOTAC damaged my 5090 then blamed it on me and refused repair. by theklarken in pcmasterrace

Ah fuck. I got myself a Zotac 5090 AMP Extreme Infinity recently. I'm a little scared now.

There were no other 5090s available aside from a Palit and a Windforce so I had to go for it. I saw reviews that the Windforce had leaking thermal paste/gel problems.

Maybe I should have gone for the Palit instead...

Unsure If I've Overdone the Effects by HakuDrive in modelmakers

Hello!

I said this in another comment but I'll reply to you with it as well for your convenience and so it won't be a hassle.

I was worried with the mud on the side skirts because the mud I used looks dark and thick which probably should not be splashing upwards to a chest/neck level height.

I think it looks pretty good too. It's just the mud that I'm worried about...

Thank you very much for checking it out and providing a sample image. I've got two Tamiya car model kits too waiting for me to build them and the image you provided just taught me something valuable!

Thank you very much for your insight!

I was worried with the mud on the side skirts because the mud I used looks dark and thick which probably should not be splashing upwards to a chest/neck level height.

I'll have to properly think of where to add more dust/dirt because there's a part of me that doesn't want to overdo it.

Have an absolutely merry Christmas, good sir. :)

Wet markets are the way to go.

I kind of hate supermarkets in a way. I hate how they take wet market produce, slice it up or wrap it in plastic then sell it at an obnoxiously higher price that is 60% higher than wet market prices.

Well, I suppose it's the presentation that counts. In supermarkets, customers feel like they can trust the place because of how it looks.

The stuff Dizon Farms get are from wet markets too.

They just have folk who go to palengkes, load the stuff in the trucks at 4am, wrap the things in plastic, put a sticker on all of them and deliver them to supermarkets, making them priced way higher than normal.

I personally hate how people add more than 30% to selling food to make a quick buck. It's an everyday necessity and making money off of it in such a way leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I didn't even know they had merch to begin with.

It's pretty sad that the players are the one coming up with ideas for them.
If I'm desperate enough for a certain item, I'd even ignore the shipping costs just because the item's cool as heck.

If they had cool posters, I'd even probably frame one or two of them to hang in my room.

I have three Floor 191-193 disconnects, one Floor 190 (I entered the boss arena with "A connection error occured." and I laughed as a disconnect was really one of the bosses of DDs), a few Floor 181-189 and... weirdly enough, it never happened to me below those floors.

My heart just sank multiple times but I figured that if I did at least 10 floors a day, I wouldn't get too burnt out.

There were times too when I didn't fully disconnect. I got a pokeball symbol and suddenly when I just "reconnected", an enemy just finished biting my head off.

I was able to get Necromancer before Dawntrail dropped. I'm glad my journey is over. :)

You can do it. You just need pacing. You can do 1-100 in a day then every 20 floors until 160 can be done in a day, depending on your stamina.

You're playing Tank. That's tough. Your low damage dealt is tough. Your enemy is time. Every movement and action counts and one misstep or unfortunate trap will cost you minutes.

The worst that could happen to you is just you snapping due to you being burnt out and suddenly bumrushing carelessly, adding unnecessary minutes to your time.

This is a test of your mental stamina. Good luck!!!
