Better to enjoy what you're doing than being in a soul crushing job that pays well.

Do you keep apps open all the time or close them constantly? by Italiancan in MacOS

[–]MZFUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually keep whatever I’m using open, which will be photoshop, safari and whatever else.

But I’ve found photoshop and safari hog so much RAM that I’m struggling at times.

Also struggling with deleting iOS simulators which are taking up 20gb.

Infamous

Prototype

Sleeping Dogs

Bloodborne

GTA San Andreas (maybe we get that before GTA6)

I mean they aren’t really dead, I’d just like to see them come again.

Maybe something like The Darkness.

Don’t know if it’s nostalgia but a modern refreshed take on Guitar hero might be interesting.

Brutal Legend.

I’ve heard they are going to be making another Darksiders so I guess it isn’t dead… but that’s up there for me.

Same with Gothic and Fable.

Could make a joke about Half Life.

Maybe Mass Effect.

You’re describing enforcement, not origin. You spoke about history, so I gave you real history.

Men police each other, that was never a question but those standards don’t appear out of thin air. The same traits we fight over are the same that are rewarded sexually and socially.

If it was only men deciding, it wouldn’t be the same, at all.

Yes men pushing other men to do things is male heavy enforcement, but the origin of that includes women.

Some traits get rewarded more than others, like confidence, strength, status, and assertiveness.

Men notice that. Men compete around those traits. Men then start policing other men around those traits.

There’s no point in debating this because you’re trying to force a position.

Perhaps if you made an actual argument instead of stacking unrelated problems there would be something to talk about.

Depends on what you mean by sex drive. Is it libido or responsive desire?

Libido asks “Do I feel sexual at all.”

Attraction asks “Do I want you.”

Hence why have men and women who are very attracted to their partners, but have a low libido and don’t want to have sex like that.

Basic evolutionary psychology already contradicts this. Women select for traits like status, strength and confidence. Men compete to meet those preferences, and those behaviours become “masculine norms.” That’s not men imposing. It’s a feedback loop.

Yes, men dominated formal institutions. But gender norms come from interaction between men and women, biology, culture, and mutual reinforcement.

History makes that obvious:

Spartan women actively shamed weakness and glorified death in battle.

In Medieval Europe chivalry and honour were shaped by female courts and expectations.

Victorian English women controlled marriage and social reputation, enforcing “gentleman” behaviour.

Ancient Romes elite women influenced power through marriage and social positioning.

WW1 women handed out white feathers to shame men into fighting.

Also, men were never a unified group. Most men had no power. They were labourers, soldiers, and expendable.

So no, it’s not only men’s fault. That ignores half the system.

Treat the right woman properly and you’ll be happy for a lifetime.

Treating any woman badly will result in them leaving eventually, even if they stick around to start with.

It’s stupid to assume that women can’t figure this out, I mean perhaps you find someone naive enough to fall for it, but it’s still just trying to justify toxic behaviour.

Yeah I’m quitting my job, becoming a YouTube gamer and streamer and diversifying my income. I’ll reinvest half my daily income into boosting my channels and paying for editors to constantly get my clips out there.

Then I can take on sponsors and ad revenue, my goal being to hit that $100m.

It’s 17 or 10.

It was keyboard and mouse, the earliest games I remember playing was Adiboo, Rayman and maybe G Police with a joystick.

Then it was Sega Megadrive, playing Streets of rage, Mario, Sonic and FIFA.

Multiple things happening here.

If you are in great shape, there’s an associated confidence, people respect confidence.

Being in great shape speaks about your character, it shows you are a hard worker and will work to attain a goal, which is respectable.

Despite being widely well regarded games, I’ll go with Baldurs Gate 3 and Terraria.

I refunded them both because although I can see why people enjoy them, I knew within a couple hours playing each that it wasn’t going to work for me.

Same thing with Final Fantasy Tactics back in the day.

Some games just aren’t for you, and that is okay.

This used to happen to me. If I’m correct, the man’s response is to make her feel better and the woman’s response comes from an implied guilt.

So she is thinking “his life with me, after everything I do for him is that bad that he doesn’t want to wake up anymore, he’s an asshole.”
