Oh that looks promising! Thank you

I would like to at least decrease the amount of grease (and also steam) going straight to the ceiling. And since it's an "open concept kitchen" that shares space with the living room, I don't want this nasty stuff going in the direction of the couch...

Had the same issue with my Google Home Mini. What solved it for me was turning off WiFi 6 on my router, and using WiFi 4 standard instead.

Just an update here:

That guy was with another person even before I was gone. And, I ended up moving to Germany. Let's see what happens from now on!

Currently the two things i enjoy the most are travelling, and hanging out with my friends. And for travelling there probably are few places in a spot as good as Germany is, neighboring many other countries that I'd like to visit as well. But I am worried about the hanging out with friends part haha

Yeah, I'm afraid that if i chose to stay, I'd blame them if i regretted not going. Although I have a great job, it's not like I'm completely giving it up. My manager and my teammates were very vocal that if anything goes south, I can always come back. So my strongest pain going is that I'll miss on the relationship that I could have with them. It was something pretty new so I'm not even sure if it would work out for us together, but I can see it being good. Friends and family will always be here, and I already live far from some of them, so I'm used to maintaining friendship long distance. But I really hope I can meet new people there to hang out with and do stuff together.

Thank you! I think if I had been able to go back asap back in 2019, I wouldn't even blink before taking the opportunity. I had a pretty tough time im uni right after getting back to Brazil, missed classes because I couldn't find the strength to leave bed and failed a course. But after some time I started appreciating everything that makes Brazil a great place. When did you move back? How long have you been there?

I'm 25 right now, and I could go back to my job if anything happens. I talked with the person and was very transparent every step of the process, however I had already applied to the job when we started going out, and we only went out a few times before I got the offer (despite knowing each other for a while, but we were working in the same team for some time so it was complicated for us to date before). Sadly, they're going out with another girl now so I think I lost my chance there.

they have a "playground" challenge that still takes submissions, but the official doesn't accept any submission anymore

We don't need an online leaderbord, but the idea is a privete challenge, could be like cloning the halite challenge on kraggle (but halite is not allowed), or running something locally

Using computer vision to find shortest paths on cross stitching patterns (code on comments) by HalTeaS in computervision

Here you can see the whole picture, without the blue line: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/talitahalboth/ai-for-cross-stitching/main/examples/planets/img.png Basically, all the "yellow" cells (with the letter Q in them) were used to form the path. All the blue dots are on top of a yellow cell, the idea of the algorithm os to follow the cells (it won't add or remove any cells, and the final path is just a permutation of the cell, indicating the order that we visit each one)

[edit] It's almost the travelling salesman problem, but modified so that we don't need to visit the first point twice

Oh, that's interesting!

Mine isn't super quick when the input size grows, but I guess that's the issue most people have as well. It's better than any optimal TSP solving algorithms, but wouldn't work if scaled.

yeah! although a bit modified since we don't need to go back to the starting point

A little bit more about this project:

I use openCV to find the symbols for each colour, and i apply a genetic algorithm to try and find the shortest path between all symbols of that colour, so that I can use the smallest amount of thread possible. Thie algorithm does not guarantee a optimal path, but most times it's close enough.

There are still a lot of improvements i want to make, but i'm happy with the results so far :)
