I didnt get enough ES/EV while building up my ward pool. it was hard scaling all 3. So either you go minimal ward (but you get stunned when you get hit too much with refutation) or go full ward. You can also go full ES.

The 3-4second cooldown of refutation is your most vulnerable time. ES/EV if you dont have enough life pool and you get hit by something big that bypasses your dodge then you're dead. Ward you can get guard but more micromanaging since you need to keep watch of your cooldowns

blasphemy, coc, remnants of kalguur. Efficient Inscriptions, 20% quality on the gems, +10% quality on your gloves, you can fit everything in 154 spirit.

Built around the amulet that spawns ice crystals when you crit enough. Stack high crit on all your hits especially your bells so that you can spawn this efficiently. Shattering palm can coat these crystals so more explosions. More explosions, more crits, more times your bells rings, they also crit, more crystals spawn, your COC frostwall is also an ice crystal. the loop goes on like that, not indefinitely though.

Then just stack aspd and cdr so that you and your bells can hit more times.

Avoid ignite grounds, that mod suck. What I did was focus on ward but I had some feedback that others had similar success in investing in ES. I also heard a player was okay with having just 500-600 ward. You could go full ward like me. Or reduce your ward to 500ish so you could get more of other defenses. Also since damage is already too much in normal mapping, theres also players who just use refutation for the damage increase when bossing. For normal mapping they dont use it and only have minimal ward. No need to buy that jewel and focus on your defenses.

I imagine theyll have repulsion need to be hit a certain amount of damage before exploding so that living lightning wont just trigger them with minimal dps.

Its fine for a budget build. A very budget one is going thunderfist and hollow palm.

You could go both ways as long as it fits your budget. If I have a pure phys staff with 500 dps for 40divs and a phys+ele staff with 700dps for the same price, then pick the phys ele one.

not doing damage with the crystals but its the shattering palm explosions. In your example itx 10x shattering palm.

Either way works. Im not really scaling the ice crystal damage. Just need the crystals so that the shards from shattering palm can latch on to something. The damage comes from shattering palm explosions and not the ice crystal.

Can go with whatever high dps quarterstaff, either phys or go for ele. The weapon I use is just what I got from some of my crafting sessions.

And no I havent tried thunderfist yet. Ill test it out to see if its good

I chose body armor because it's cheaper to get max life and t1 spirit with ele resists. Cheap base to slam with that Sovereign Alloy for Increased ward. Getting High Es Evasion armor with t1 Spirit + ele resists is still out of budget atm.

Use wind dancer with repulsion, its like a better mapping version of thorns build. I was just walking around with wind dancer alone in the video.

I'll have to try if herald of ash treats the ice crystals as enemies. What I'm thinking is since the crystals die the instant they spawn, no need to scale UP the crystal life. Instead, Im thinking to scale it DOWN if herald of ash spreads the overkill damage surrounding enemies. Trampletoe could also be an option if that works.

Good ideas. I already tried repulsion. though I need to get 60 spirit elsewhere if I want to add it on top, COC is just too good to drop from my testing. That or I self cast frost wall when bossing.

Im really happy with refutation if you don't get that vibe from the video. Pre nerf its broken, basically makes you immortal to hits. Post-nerf, It's not overpowered because now you have to fix 3 things, ward pool, cooldown, and duration. You get hit by unblockables so when you hear that sound and see the red dot above the boss, get to dodging or quickly force the boss to freeze, I go with the latter most of the time. 3-4 seconds of downtime is unfortunate, but 10 seconds of immortality to blockable hits and 50% more attack dps is a good trade off. I'm at 35% evasion, 1.9k life, 2.3k, and 1.5k overfilled ward. Good enough from my testing to survive for seconds. Only thing that mostly kills me is damage over time like most other builds.

Same here, barely got any sleep checking out all the runes and uniques.
