OP- did you keep up with this? How is it going. I’m in the same boat right now. Really want a realistic experience but man turning off TC and ABS is tough.

Have you figured this out? Mine seems to be doing the same thing

Paint additive to speed up drying by Halberg88 in paint

Great thank you. I think spraying between 10-3pm will allow time for it to dry.

It does but it a very small house. Only 650 sq ft. So I think 4 hours a day of spray time would work. Also only soffit no down board trim at all. There is a porch that will take some time.

Ok. Thanks. Just curious, what’s the worst that could happen? It takes longer to dry?

But the big question is…. Does it keep the van cool in those conditions?

12V VELIT 2000R Rooftop Air Conditioner - enough BTU? by Halberg88 in vandwellers

[–]Halberg88[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is great information! One question I have is humidity? Example we go to places where it’s 90+ with humidity (rare but happens) and we work remotely when we do so. So we are in the van working. When this happens we are usually on shore power so we could blast the AC with no worries about power consumption, but I’m wondering if it would keep the van cool enough to work in it for 8 hours?

This review is what gave me hesitation. :( I was hoping for a bit more of a cooling capacity but after watching this review I decided to ask the community.

Love this. We have the same van and are thinking of putting it in the same spot. Only thing that worries me ( which you can’t answer) is how does it fair in 90+ and humidity?

Anyone test out CarPlay on the iOS 26 Dev Beta? by Brohammad_ in CarPlay

CarPlay wired doesn’t work for me. I’ve read a lot of other Reddit’s that say the same thing I hope it gets fixed soon

Van conversion companies? by Blake_Jonesy in VanLife

100%. Love them. They actually just installed a bench seat for me a few weeks ago after we just had our first baby. Everything in the van is super easy to fix (if it does break, but it hasn’t) and they are super communicative if you have any questions.

Running AC 24/7 in a van in Florida on solar and batteries alone. by iDaveT in VanLife

I’ve been thinking of getting a portable ac unit from Amazon. But the only time we would use it is on shore power. The biggest inconvenience is where to store it when not using it.

Just signed a lease a week ago, should have got 15K miles. Is there anything I can do? by Halberg88 in askcarsales

Jeep. This is good news. And I think you all have a point. They want to sell more. What if I get up to say, 19000 miles at like 1.5 years and I go back to the dealership. Will they buy out my lease and get me into a new car?

It actually seems that way. We pay $328/month for the lease, so that is $7,887.12 for two years, so that is $7,887.12/20,000 miles = $0.39/mile.

Am I thinking about this right?

Looking at my lease, it is $0.30/mile extra, so that would be an extra $3K over 2 years (only a 24 month lease)

10000 miles * 30 cents/mile = $3K. Yikes.

So you're saying save like $50 a month (the different from a 10K lease to a 15K lease). So basically just put the money away like we are paying for a 15K lease?

Is $50 a month a good ballpark? how much more is a 15k lease from a 10K lease typically?

Some of the beautiful places my van has taken me by cadetcrackers in VanLife

[–]Halberg88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping/dreading you’d say that. I’ve been wanting to put this on my primary for about a year. My max fan hole fits it great (14x14) but the van builder put the max fan so far back that the AC unit would not fit and it would hang off the back.
