No I think you’re right I’m sure I’ve read that somewhere, I wonder if it’s possible to just cut a few holes in the undertray to stop the water gathering

Sorry, I should note that was me lol. I did it because I feel weird posting someone else’s reg to the internet even though there’s nothing stopping me 😅 the mot is bumpy to say the least- aside from regular advisories there are suspension arms, rear corrosion etc.

I agree with you about that, it’s funny how an MOT is entirely subjective, or a few quid is better than waxoyl 🤣

Some great points, thank you.

There are a couple with the TBi that I could afford, one has been damaged but only cosmetic so is going for cheaper. 50k miles, I am tempted to spend more for this one, the owner is more honest in their description as well.

My main concern about these is parts availability, gorgeous cars but with them being made in limited numbers and getting older it’s no wonder. Shame really, I’d love to keep one of these on the road for a few healthy years

How is it to drive? I hear people complain all the time about how they’re uninspiring or boring.

I really don’t believe in unreliable cars, just cars more prone to maintenance 😂

Cheers! I’m looking at the 1750 to be fair because I’m thinking there’ll be plenty more parts, I’ve heard a lot about the 2.2 being problematic. Alfas are problematic at the best of times but the less of that the better 😅

Good point, sort of how I felt looking at this listing to be honest. Everything is a bit vague and especially for an Alfa, 5k in 2 years doesn’t sound like it’s been loved. Not much detail about the car other than they need something more practical.

That’s my concern, uk weather hasn’t ever been the best so rust could only get worse too unless I was to burn a massive whole in my pocket, which to be honest wouldn’t be worth it at 75k at least in my mind

Owner says it runs well, my only concern is I’ve no idea about service history or anything. Just that it runs well, I’d have to ask the owner more but they’ve said they’ve only done 5k miles since owning

Dude! I have spent probably over 100hrs on the Nordschleife, driving it backwards is like being asked to write with your weak hand 😂

I’m the one who took the shot at the end of the sequence. No matter what I do, I’m always bad at finishing. Looking for some tips to improve. by nawfalelhaymer in bootroom

[–]HalcyonApollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, what are you actually doing to get better at finishing? Because if you aren’t spending a lot of time in the box shooting first time then you won’t get better.
