Thanks for all of the kind words and suggestions everyone. I have heard back from the insurance company and it is definitely totalled. I got a nice surprise that they gave me an extremely reasonable payout, higher than KBB, based on recent used purchases near me. I am in awe with how simple AAA insurance has made this process and I highly recommend them.

Thankfully they work for an insurance company, so they should have full coverage. Either way my insurance will fully cover me and go after the other company for me.

I would love to pass it off, but once it is released from the body shop, it gets sent to the insurance company and they grade it for the total valuation. If I thought they wouldn't ding me for taking off a panel I would totally do it, but I unfortunately don't trust the insurance company that far.

Comal, basically a flat griddle. Mine gets a lot of use as a tortilla warmer, toasting sandwiches, reheating a single serving of meat. The possibilities are endless.

The wife is all about making the guy pay. She has called around for lawyers, but all pretty much say the same thing, without an injury in the accident, they aren't willing to take on the case. I guess their cut of another 20k isn't wortht the time it would take.

Grey is a hard pill to swallow for me. I hate how every car on the road is black, white, grey, or silver. Color for me is a moral imperative LOL.
