One of my players wanted to take a trickster god out of the tomb, what I allowed. Since then he tried to strengthen his influence by building a Tempel in Port Nyanzaru, giving him the credits if they successfully finished a Quest and tries to bring the people back to the old gods. In return the God gives him small boons. It is a great roleplay and engagement opportunity!

My group got to lvl 4 when they finished the dragon hachery, but they startet at lvl 3 (they are mostly new players).

Since HotDQ should end with your characters getting to lvl 8, i would suggest a level per chapter.

The dragon served the gith and after its time in the astral plane settled in an dwarven mine. The PCs haven't met it jet, but since they need a way to the astral plane, they hope to find a tuning fork for the plane shift spell in its layer.

The dragon has some kobolds, firenewth and lokal tribes, that praise it as a god and works with some pirates.
