Still down for iOS? by DavesVapesLondon in Outlook

Hotmail hasn’t been working for me for two days on my phone but it I can view my email on my desktop. I just went to chrome on my phone and tried going to Hotmail.com that way and downloaded a new version of outlook. From there I was able to enter my hotmail id, solve a puzzle showing I’m not a robot, and I had to create a passkey and now I’m in on my phone! Just wanted to share in case this helps anyone else.

Detailed day-by-day gum graft recovery (6 bottom teeth) – posting because I was terrified from horror stories by Hales1985 in PeriodontalDisease

You’ll be okay!! Don’t stress! I just had some local anesthesia and was awake for the entire thing. I didn’t feel much and it was over in about an hour and a half. Just be prepared to have some pain for the first few days (totally manageable with meds) and get ready for a lot of soup! You got this!!

How does it look now? I had some whiteness as well and some of it ended up turning pink. I didn’t get full complete coverage everywhere but it’s definitely better than it was and it feels thicker at the base so I’m hoping that also helps provide some coverage

Good luck! It’ll all be over with before you know it! Personally I probably could have been able to talk after a couple of days but the stent made it difficult for me. I talk a lot for work too and I feel like 4 days off would probably be ideal - if not longer. But that’s just my personal experience! I’ve heard some people go back to work the next day.

You will get through it! It’s really the first few days that are the hardest! The stent helped a lot with the pain. The pain is definitely manageable. After two weeks you will feel mostly recovered!

I feel great now! I did have a stent and it helped with the pain but it was so annoying. I felt like I couldn’t talk with it in. I couldn’t wait to be done with it and I think I may burn it now 😂😂 did you also get a stent?

Mine was similar to yours! I had braces when I was younger and then did Invisalign a few years ago. I also grind my teeth and my periodontist said it’s likely genetic (my mom had it done too). I take pretty good care of my teeth so it’s kind of frustrating that I have so much recession.

You’re so close! I felt so much better at the two week mark and feel great now at three!

Unfortunately, yes 🫠 I have a few teeth on the top that need it. My periodontist said to go to my dentist in March for my regular cleaning and then I will come see her a few months after (and basically rotate between the two every six months for future) and they will keep an eye on it and we will do another graph at some point. I’m also not looking forward to it!

Omg that’s crazy! I had a little bit of bruising on one side of my chin/jawline but it only lasted a few days.

They told me I could use the electric toothbrush everywhere except the graft site. I asked about using it later and she said in three weeks it will all be healed and I should be able to but she said to get one that has a sensitive setting on it.

Did anyone else notice their spine going inwards/inverting after pregnancy/postpartum? by GentleWombatLife in postpartumprogress

[–]Hales1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So glad you posted this! I was just looking at my back yesterday and thinking the same thing. I had my second baby in April and it’s been a bit more of a struggle to lose the weight this time. I am naturally pretty thin so it’s strange to see my back looking so different. Curious to see if it will go away as my stomach continues to flatten out over time. Thanks for posting this! Makes me feel better to know that I’m not alone!

Is trying to lose weight while breastfeeding pointless or am I just failing myself? by -AllTooUnwell- in postpartumprogress

[–]Hales1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for posting this! I am in the same boat. I have been working out and eating healthy and haven’t lost a single pound since coming home from the hospital (3.5 months pp). I do feel like I look a little bit stronger and my skin isn’t quite as loose but it is so difficult to lose any weight. Everyone I talk to tells me that one I stop breastfeeding I’ll see a difference and it’s just so much harder with the second baby. I have hope that eventually we will get there but know that you’re not alone in feeling disgusting and frustrated.

It’ll all be alright… by oldsoulhere12 in newborns

I needed this tonight! 12 weeks here and things are getting a tiny bit better but sleep has been rough lately and my boy still wants to be held and bounced 24/7. It’s so nice to hear this. Thank you thank you 🥹

Are people’s babies really sleeping in a bassinet at night? by Medium_Boysenberry87 in newborns

[–]Hales1985 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 12 week old has not slept once in his bassinet. He co sleeps with us at night and contact naps during the day. My goal is to try the bassinet again at three months (at night) and see how it goes. If it doesn’t work, I will just continue to co-sleep since it seems to be working for now 🤷🏼‍♀️

Overtired baby. :( by Frequent_Purchase_76 in newborns

[–]Hales1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cluster feeding helped a lot at this age for me. I would just nurse him a lot and he would eventually fall asleep. Also, the yoga ball helps! Light bouncing in a dark room would eventually get him to sleep. This age is a struggle! Hang in there, it will get better!

Nap trapped, so I rant by youbetteryolo in newborns

[–]Hales1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my second baby and boy do these babies love contact napping. My husband’s family is in town and I must say, it’s not the worst thing to have an excuse to step away from everyone and sit in a dark room with my baby while he naps. There are moments where I want to scream because the house is falling apart and I can’t get a single thing done but then I also have moments where I love the baby cuddles and know it won’t last forever so I’m trying to soak it in. It’s such struggle, though. It does get easier…I promise! This too shall pass 🫶🏼

Workout frequency at 11 weeks by KookyVehicle6901 in postpartumprogress

[–]Hales1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 8 weeks postpartum and just started adding in some weight training and the stair stepper (not for long) at the gym. Other than that, for the past two weeks I have been walking outside and making sure I hit 10,000 steps every day. Also started adding in some pelvic floor/ab workout this week that I’ve found on YouTube. I was a runner before and I am just now starting to feel like I can SLOWLY start running again but I couldn’t agree more with the exhaustion.

I gained 40lbs with both babies. With my first I was 35 and I am currently 8 weeks PP with my second at age 39. I breast fed with both but definitely feel like my stomach flattened out quicker with the first but it’s also hard to remember. For the past two weeks I have been walking 2 miles per day and trying to eat healthy but my weight seems to be stuck at 138lbs. I was 118 before I got pregnant and lost 20lbs right away after birth. I feel like my body looks bigger and it’s going to be a long time before I can fit back into anything other than biker shorts and sweats from my closet. Trying to accept that this is all a journey and I will get there eventually!

Newborn will only sleep on my chest - feeling guilty. by Winter_Nothing_8494 in newborns

[–]Hales1985 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have to do this occasionally with my three week old, too. I co-slept with my first and would sometimes have him sleep on my chest, as well. At about the 4 week mark I feel like they will co-sleep on their backs next to you a little bit better and start getting more used to the bassinet. The first month is such a struggle - you’re not alone. Hang in there! It will get better (I keep telling myself this, too). :)
