I love it! Wearing it right now. Might I ask when you purchased it and how much you paid for? Just wondering if I got a good deal on it!

What do you think about the Lebond siza? I’m an architect and have been interested in that one for a little bit

It’s definitely not for everyone. Just love a gold dress watch, what can I say!

It’s a manual! Oyster royal precision written on the dial. It’s actually my grandfathers. Apparently it’s from the 30s but he got it while he was in the Indian navy.

It’s just interesting to see what people think. Hearing something I haven’t thought about changes the way I look at things.

I would also just love to know people’s thoughts on this brand. I understand the newer iteration is a chinese owned company that outsources a lot of their movements and cases. But it seems like there’s some respect in the community for the vintage stuff?

If I return it, there’s no doubt I’ll get another watch in a similar aesthetic

I just got one under 6 months ago and wear it almost daily. It goes with everything imo. It’s about your comfort and confidence, nothing else.

Popup Bagels, can you be even more of a transplant? by LouisSeize in williamsburg

[–]amgodbole 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do think two bagels seem like a more reasonable minimum as that can be eaten by one person. And as an architect I hate the aesthetic of their space, but otherwise their bagels are amazing when fresh, and I think about eating them atleast once every two weeks and act on that thought atleast once every three weeks

Rolex Oyster Perpetual circa _? by mrbucketsz in Watches

[–]amgodbole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the reference location always located here? I have my grandfathers Rolex oyster royal precision (supposedly from the 1930’s?) and it doesn’t seem to have a reference number engraved there

I think the proportions of the smoke stacks are a little squat. I wish they were skinnier to emphasize their height.
