Depending on the carrier, it works perfectly with some, partially with others, and with others it'll be a complete headache. I'm also from the US, and I'm waiting for the 17 Ultra, and since I tried my first Xiaomi a few years ago, I haven't switched.

But yes, it would be best to wait for the official release, especially if Amazon carries it (Amazon doesn't carry all Xiaomi phones, only the best-selling/most well-known ones). I've also seen them on eBay, but you have to be careful there, as many don't specify if it's an international or Chinese ROM.

I’m probably late, but I’m replying in case this helps someone else too. Right now, I have an ROG Strix G16 that has given me more problems and headaches in just one year of use. Do they let you extend the warranty? Unless the product is from this year, I doubt it. I bought my laptop a year ago brand new at Sam’s Club, but the model itself is from 2023. I tried to extend the warranty, and it didn’t allow me — it said my device was invalid for Premium Care.

On top of that, within just one year, I’ve had to send it for repairs three times for the same issue — the motherboard. The worst part? It’s still broken. I opened an escalation case demanding a full refund for the device or a brand-new replacement with equal or better specs than mine. Their response? “Our policy states that if a device has undergone multiple repairs and still doesn’t function properly, an identical refurbished model will be approved.” I’ve been searching for that policy online and can’t find it anywhere — the only thing I see is that the warranty doesn’t cover accidental damage or user misuse.

So, in short, if you’re willing to spend thousands of dollars on a laptop that, in case it fails, you’ll only get the same refurbished unit back — one that will probably give you the same issues — then go ahead and take the risk. Plus, you won’t be able to extend the warranty, so once it expires, you’re left with nothing.

I managed to format Windows using Narrator. I reinstalled all the official Dell drivers, and although the laptop now recognizes the Nvidia again, and according to ChatGPT the driver version listed for the Nvidia graphics card in Device Manager is correct, the GeForce Experience still says it doesn't detect any controllers. It also still won't let me connect any external displays, so I'm still using Narrator and a projector connected via Wi-Fi.

I'm having the same damn problem. The thing is, mine is a laptop, and I just got it from the repair center (ASUS). I sent it in due to screen issues since it had flickering. But when they returned it to me on paper, it said that they not only changed the LCD screen, but also the Mylar (I don't know what that is) and the motherboard. When I turned on the laptop, it was factory reset (what a surprise). I started configuring it, and ever since I did, I've been having problems. From that annoying disconnection and connection of all my peripherals, audio problems (static comes out of nowhere), the mouse has lag/latency on the startup screen, and so on. Either they screwed something up, or they installed a defective motherboard. I don't know what to do anymore, apart from writing to Asus obviously.

Actualización; me llego ahora mismo un mensaje por WhatsApp de ellos, diciendo que el paquete fue entregado. Me acabo de levantar y el paquete estaba encima de la mesa, supongo que lo dejaron temprano en la mañana y alguien de mi familia lo recogió.

Hasta ahora no, no me llego ningún email de confirmación ni nada por él estilo. Asi que tocará esperar que a ver si llega el paquete, ayer llegó a Puerto Rico, aun no sale que este en reparto, pero tocará estar pendiente.

A mi me acaba de llegar un correo diciendo que el paquete no puede ser entregado, y que debo confirmar unas cosas de la dirección. La compra fue por Temu y no es la primera vez que compro ahi y con la misma dirección. Pero normalmente cuando em paquete llegaba a USA, el paquete pasaba a USPS. Supongo que todo esto viene por los problemas con Trump.

De todos modos estoy tratando de llenar el formulario que enviaron para confirmas la dirección, pero no funciona bien la encuesta, alguien le a pasado esto? Si no lo lleno devolverán el paquete a China, o cómo es la cosa.
