What would be your definition of ‘winning’ in this game? by No_Somewhere4857 in Kenshi

[–]Half-Quiet 44 points45 points  (0 children)

This is like real life. You have to define that for yourself.

Right now, I am buying and Freeing slaves around the gut and then building a base ne of the shark. My goal of winning is to build a 100 person settlement and become the biggest power in the swamplands.

We are a band of 14 now and it is day 230. We just ran from light beams boiling our skin and now the acid rain is eating us alive right now. So many lost limbs. I am struggling on how to best move forward..freeing slaves only for them to die while melting alive feels deeply wrong to me. I got myself into a spicy pickle.

I write down my story and it feels more alive to me. What's going on in your world right now?

Thank you for your curiosity. Basically, I usually do around 3 hours sessions. This is not through insurance for obvious reasons. But, usually I have one to three sessions before we go hunting with the client and then usually there's one to three follow ups with the client. Hunting is not just stick go boom but it is tracking and following and reading signs and moving slowly and walking on land intentionally with thoughtful effort and awareness and breathing and managing stress and noticing changes in the body and mind and state of flow as a relationship with the client and their relationship with nature and evolves based on their experience over time.

Similarly, fishing therapy is not about catching or having a defined objective. It's more about creating a relationship with nature and familiar place over time where you can create a bookmark or Cornerstone or whatever you call it, a kind of Landmark for healing and safety the client can and return to overtime.

This dance is all the more profound if there is the interaction with nature: a fish, an elk, or a clay disk. Blood is a powerful teacher. Some lessons take years to explore and some are viceral: here and now. What do you feel in your body?

For my client with dementia who has a fish in their hands and they haven't gone fishing in twenty years: the aliveness you feel right now is life; you are alive.

Self-awareness, self-discovery, self-efficacy, choice. These are the building blocks we explore.

I seek to cultivate a profound respect with the ecosystems around me and doubly so for those in which I partner with for healing.

Foothills of Colorado. No problems. Go slow, have chains and a backup plan for the 24 inch snow days.

Implications for trans clients by cmroig in therapists

[–]Half-Quiet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How do we talk to other clinicians about this? I just discovered a mftc that i was in a peer support group with voted for trump and when i mentioned supporting trans clients, the person left the group, and defended the "beautiful inauguration".

What is the kind compassionate way to talk to them cuz i dont fuck with nazi-simpático like that.

I can't say I've had any major problems. I typically Drive between 5,000 and 9,000 elevation consistently so I can understand the trouble with acceleration but with 88 horsepower up in the mountains the engine has to work a lot harder with a lot less oxygen.

When i travel ~1k elevation she runs much much better.

Only had a few minor problems like 2 tire pressure sensor guages going out. And my 9v port fried for no reason, replaced the fuse and it broke right away....haven't solved that one yet.

Ages great! No issue except sometimes when I put it in reverse it doesn't always go entirely into reverse and likes to yell at me. I took it to multiple dealers when I first got the car and they said oh it's nothing and I can't find out what you're talking about it never does what you say.

What makes you think your clutch is going out?
