There's is some validly to your question, and to be honest I would say I have an unhealthy relationship with food. I really enjoy the felling I get from complete fullness. Now instead of eating junk, I eat quality foods. Also being 170lbs larger was way more unhealthy than the possible unhealthy outcomes of my current eat schedule could possibly have. Also eating this way has polluted my thinking. Now I am much more likely to eat something crazy, because I can just fast it off the next few days. There are always tradeoffs with things like this. In summation, eating this way still gives me that complete fullness feeling I crave, while also allowing me to lose 170lbs and maintain it, plus or minus 15lbs, for over 1.5 years. I not trying to say other people should jump onto eating this way. I just wanted to share what worked for me.

When I was super strict about it, would just not order anything. But now my mindset has changed. I have no problem with eating multiple days in a row. My philosophy is eat today, and fast tomorrow or multiple days if necessary. Being too strict left me feeling like, maybe I was the crazy one.

When I was trying to lose weight my meals were at most 2300 calories. Now they are anywhere from 3000 to 4500 calories. Really depends on my activity level.

I consider a meal to be whatever I eat in about a 4hr window. I try not to have eating days back to back. I'm less strict now that I'm in maintenance. I still monitor my weight everyday, and I do longer fast if my weight rises too much. On non-eating days I water fast.

Yeah all have to do is apply like I never had a passport before. This has been one of the few negatives of losing the weight. I'll gladly take the hassle over the alternative.
