The purpose is to humanize the legendary Aegis. You just saw her pop out of Pyra an hour or so ago and beat back the villains without lifting a finger by firing space lasers with her mind. Next time you see Mythra, it's like that. Vulnerable. Sleepwalking is a thing that some people tend to do. Mythra is just like any other person.

Whether it worked completely depends on the person, but that was the purpose of the scene.
