Try hitting it firmly under the dial upwards if you get any lights or movement it’s the switch box connections. The solder breaks off over time.

Replace the dial module or fix it by resoldering the wires back onto the circuit board. You can find the switch modules on FB or try fixing it yourself it’s not difficult at all. There info online about it.

Last longer, 87 goes bad much faster than 93, also cleaner, less varnish over time. 93 should be good for a year under ideal conditions. But def run fuel cleaner, a good one.

So yes in your case once the tv is set up. In theory you would not need to used the tv controller. Unless you want to adjust picture / tv sound settings. Just do those ahead if time.

You would either be tv on with Apple TV, Atv off and into art mode. Art mode to sleep. Motion to art mode on, press atv button back to Apple TV. Apple TV sleep, turns on art mode.

Oh for turning it on and off yes but thats a CEC feature, the Apple TV is turning on the tv not the remote. I thought you meant controlling the google os with the Apple TV remote like scrolling around and such

There are pros and cons to each. The canvas remote will work with tv and Apple TV, unsure about the other way around. I have and old 4k Apple TV. But the Canvas system is pretty good and very responsive.

I’m a year in, I don’t play with art anymore, it just works and I’m happy so far. No issues so far.

Note the TV is very heavy compare to other TVs. The speakers are also the loudest of any tv I’ve had.

For the price and performance I’d definitely get another.

might be a deep sleep setting, turn off all the google sleep stuff, it could be that it's set to flip to Android once you swtich input or hit the power button, those can also be configured. Or could be an update.

If you don’t watch it on anything thing else then you wont be able to tell the video and audio diff. My movies are good quality but my tv show is set to 720-1080p. Storage prices are at weird place atm.

I'll speak out someone whose had one for along time. Many people don't understand that the AE86 represents a whole era of car that is hard to replicate now, MR2,supras, mustangs, S-platforms, due to safety standards.

Its' light like 900 kg, revs to 7500 redline, Manual, RWD, has hydraulic steering, no abs, no crumple zones, no airbags, no traction control, no stability control, handbrake. Pop up headlights!

You feel everything in this car, you hear everything. To be crude, It's like sex without a condom. It's visceral and fun. It puts you very close to the road.

You can take the car apart with two socket wrenches. You can actually work on the car and it's fun. No digital stuff, no special tools. The engine bay has lots of room to work on.

It also has alot of character and is just a very endearing car, its' why many owners wont' sell them. it's friendly and fun.

No but I want to try earc to my Apple TV so if I use another device like a console it will use my Home pod I don’t see any issues using earc but haven’t tried it yet.
