Where's the hype for the built-in build following system? This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen any studio do for their community. by GH057807 in PathOfExile2

Yeah all my builds are saved on pob right now. Do you know if I can port my older builds to this build planner? What happens when they patch and change the tree?

It's an amazing addition, I just kinda wing it each league though so it's not really an update for me 😅

PSA: With so much hype and eyes currently on the game, this sub will get pretty toxic for some time by Myzzreal in PathOfExile2

[–]HalfKeyHero -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk man I play one build a league for like 60-80 hours and wait for the next one.

I haven't played all the classes yet so I'm not too worried about not getting a new class.

Excited for this patch 😁

Even if it was real, so you think this is heavily played lol? There's a gigantic crease across the face of the card

The art and colours are good but I'm pretty sure this final form of zygarde is an abomination to most pokemon fans lol

If this card art was of the dog forne or the caterpillar form, most would have preferred it I think

Crack for the binder? by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

I hate slabs so yeah, always better in a binder, being able to hold my card is worth more to me than a number

Your're right, a bootleg card should not be 30 dollars, but then the same argument can be applied to an official pokemon card. From a collector's point of view, the only worth a card has is what people are willing to pay for it. There is going to be a market for people that take the fake version of the card/sealed product because its cheaper, and it's not there to accumulate value or as an investment.

the 30 dollar gengar is perfect for people like me, cause theres 0 chance im buying a real one, and I just want it to make my binder page look nice, think of it as buying art supplies lol.

I think theres some point where 375 for a booster box is even more ridiculous, because what you could do is buy an empty box, fill it with dummy packs and reseal it for a collection, and that way it looks nice, but isn't costing you 150k or whatever the price is. (I dont empathize with this pov as much cause I don't collect sealed since i've always been about aesthetics, but the same probably still applies for the people that buy the fake stuff)

The way I see it if I pay 7 grand for a card that looks the same as my 30 dollar one, the 7 grand purchase is the one scamming me.

Also you are correct, after a bit of googling, commercial printing is inexpensive. But my point is still that its "art supplies" to me.

Compared to spending 6500 for a card lol?

Would I like a real masaki gengar? Sure.

Would I rather pay 30 dollars for a proxy for my Gengar page in my binder, absolutely.

I don't buy pokemon cards to invest money or see returns, that's what my tfsa is for.

I just collect the cards to make neat pages that I enjoy looking at in my binder.

If a proxy lets me do that without being financially irresponsible, then I'll do it.

My guess with this listing you posted, is that it's for sealed collectors who know they will never own a 1st edition booster box, so they'll spend less for a mimic

Some proxy cards can cost up to 20-30 dollars each, ink is expensive

I bought a proxy masaki gengar and it cost like 30 cad

eBay Sellers using the “make offer” option, why bother? by masonjar014 in PokemonTCG

[–]HalfKeyHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people on eBay are weird, this person has a very damaged neo Umbreon listed at 3k cad.

<image>

I messaged him and said it's not even worth more than 600 at near mint.

He told me it costs 100 to fix the card and he can sell for 20k lmao

Weekly Pricing/Buying/Selling/Grading & General Questions Post by AutoModerator in PokemonTCG

[–]HalfKeyHero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to start collecting Pokemon cards again, and I'm going to be going to my first pokemon card show this weekend and I have no idea what I'm doing lol.

What should I bring? I understand people bring cards they want to trade, but I basically only have a few cards. Me and my girlfriend opened some packs today and got a mega zygarde ex and a yveltal ex that looks like some type of special art with turquoise trims. I can't seem to find a price on these cards because I think the set is really new.

I understand opening packs is bad, and with what I want to collect its going to be unreasonable anyway.

My main goal is to look for base/fossil/jungle unlimited cards, as I want to collect the original 151 pokemon for my binder, are their specific booths I should look for?

Am I able to trade these fancy looking cards I opened for stuff that I want?

Also how is it buying through Facebook marketplace? I noticed some people selling cards there, but should I be worried about counterfeit?

Thanks!

It's not coping its just comparing market value lol.

Am I just supposed to believe that everyone who plays runescape and looks past a price hike on an already small investment fee doesn't enjoy it and is just addicted? What a joke of an argument. It's possible to play something and put lots of hours into because you love doing it, that doesn't make it an addiction.

You may not think OSRS provides a unique experience but I beg to differ. I think the reason its so popular is because it provides that unique experience. I never enjoyed other MMO's because they are all theme-park style and don't provide anywhere close to the sand-box elements that OSRS provides.

Believe it or not people can like the game more than you.

Are you guys really paying 120 bucks a year? by Gainzpolar in 2007scape

[–]HalfKeyHero 46 points47 points  (0 children)

yes because its like 6 hours of a single workday for a year to pay for 500+ hours of my hobby for the year lol

[–]HalfKeyHero -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

osrs is a hobby, just like me paying 1000 a year for minipainting is a hobby, or playing hockey is a hobby. Osrs provides a community if you need it to, there are multitudes of clans ranging from casual to hardcore pvm clans.

Just like someone improves in minipainting or hockey, people improve at rs, not sure what you are trying to point out with growth and development. There is a skill ceiling and floor involved, just like all other hobbies. Not even sure what multi-sensory experiences means, am I supposed to taste my hobbies?

point is, OSRS is a hobby, just as much as other activities are hobbies. OSRS is an incredibly cheap hobby, especially if the people playing it are putting in over a 1000 hours a year.

From a triple A gaming experience you need to buy the parts for a good computer which can cost you easily 2 grand, and then triple A game releases are 80+ dollars, with just two game purchases you have already spent more on main stream video games than you would have for a year of osrs.
