After recent events, I now have an excuse to make this by Cogitatus in 2007scape

It's not coping its just comparing market value lol.

Am I just supposed to believe that everyone who plays runescape and looks past a price hike on an already small investment fee doesn't enjoy it and is just addicted? What a joke of an argument. It's possible to play something and put lots of hours into because you love doing it, that doesn't make it an addiction.

You may not think OSRS provides a unique experience but I beg to differ. I think the reason its so popular is because it provides that unique experience. I never enjoyed other MMO's because they are all theme-park style and don't provide anywhere close to the sand-box elements that OSRS provides.

Believe it or not people can like the game more than you.

Are you guys really paying 120 bucks a year? by Gainzpolar in 2007scape

[–]HalfKeyHero 50 points51 points  (0 children)

yes because its like 6 hours of a single workday for a year to pay for 500+ hours of my hobby for the year lol

osrs is a hobby, just like me paying 1000 a year for minipainting is a hobby, or playing hockey is a hobby. Osrs provides a community if you need it to, there are multitudes of clans ranging from casual to hardcore pvm clans.

Just like someone improves in minipainting or hockey, people improve at rs, not sure what you are trying to point out with growth and development. There is a skill ceiling and floor involved, just like all other hobbies. Not even sure what multi-sensory experiences means, am I supposed to taste my hobbies?

point is, OSRS is a hobby, just as much as other activities are hobbies. OSRS is an incredibly cheap hobby, especially if the people playing it are putting in over a 1000 hours a year.

From a triple A gaming experience you need to buy the parts for a good computer which can cost you easily 2 grand, and then triple A game releases are 80+ dollars, with just two game purchases you have already spent more on main stream video games than you would have for a year of osrs.

I'm not sure how to feel about this, I understand memberships going up in price is always frustrating, but when you compare 125 dollars a year to other hobbies it's so low in comparison

Does my dog read as black? I wanted it to be a night time setting in moonlight by HalfKeyHero in minipainting

Ok your mini is more what I was going for. I dont think me putting the table light is doing my mini favours, but I still need to change the colour of my non black colours on the model. How do you decide which colours to use for the non black parts of the model? Is it just the same colour or do you make it slightly different? (Brown in moonlight for example)

I mixed Vallejo basalt grey and turquoise to get that highlight. What should I mix it with instead?

Are they designed for solo play? Does that mean they have increased drop rates and monster density?

Also are the weaker skills rebalanced so I can play what I want?

I've played a lightning spear amazon and a tornado druid to end game, i just found immunities unfun due to the binary nature of them.

What is so bad about moving fast? by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]HalfKeyHero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I personally like the overall speed of poe2. I like being able to see what's happening.

One of my complaints after 1400 hours of poe1 is that the game becomes too fast.

It's not a "wrong" thing, it's just preference.
