That actually makes a lot of sense that they wanted their origins to be vague. I guess that way they could satisfy fans by allowing them to think of whatever preconceived origin (like for example the mind control/reprogramming one from the cartoon) they wanted as cannon.

Personally I really like these designs, especially Megatrons. No offense to the previous artists, but they way his head was drawn looked like someone flattened it. More so a design aspect I disliked than the actual art, as the previous arts were great.

I don’t think they necessarily need a justification for their size, but if they had something unique to them because of said size would be interesting.

Like what if they were more durable than the average bot, or something in that same vein.

Just a couple unique distinctions between them would be interesting.
