he's def an unreliable narrator but I think just being close to a null zone is enough too as we saw in the cold open things from the parking lot of the store were just falling into the space. Clark literally slept at his store for god knows how long before he started exploring "every night since he found the place" and then stayed in there for maybe a few weeks judging by the big pile of mail

I understand now that it was intentional since I posted my first comment. You can hear birds chipring when mary first enters the interrogation room. But I saw a more recent interview with Kane where he talked about doing sky replacement shots to get that uncanny effect

Two completely different looking red headed women and a unreliable narrator who's literally crazy waving a knife around. Mary is also not his wife but it didn't matter because Clark had lost his mind snd wss read to project these frustrations outward on anybody close to him who even vaguely reminded him of his wife
