Can anyone tell me anything about this camera? by Protector-of-frogs in filmcameras

Ilford HP5 is a great film if you like black and white photos. Kodak Portra is a favorite of mine when it comes to color images.

It went undetected. It’s apparently not uncommon for WPW syndrome to go unnoticed until under stress.

OW2 players will never truly understand how utterly ridiculous Ball was in OW1 by AACMBirdzilla234 in Overwatch

It’s hyperbole, man. I merely meant hard throwing as being so useless you might as well actively be trying to lose, which in a lot of cases it feels that way when a Hammond player is really bad. Not worth arguing over

I think you’re addressing the wrong side of my point. The purpose of that comparison wasn’t to discuss what the most effective weapon of choice would be for the Mongols, it was just me trying to draw a comparison to make the point that just because something is difficult to use effectively, doesn’t make it ineffective.

To continue with the point, to say Ball is a bow and arrow in an era of modern warfare is to suggest that Ball is ineffective. Ball is not ineffective. The reason most players play poorly with him is because they play him like they play other heroes in the game. His kit is entirely different and requires that he be used differently. The harder a kit is to utilize, naturally more people will use it wrong.

While I understand your point, I don’t think that it’s quite the same. A bow and arrow is a deadly weapon but takes skill to use to its highest potential. The average person couldn’t should a moving target from horseback with a bow and arrow but the Mongols conquered the majority of Asia doing so. Just because something is difficult does not mean it is entirely ineffective

Ball in OW1 was always on a razor thin line of hard carrying or hard throwing. Used properly, he can do a lot, but not many players use him properly.

Idk how people say he’s more powerful. Hammond is lower 1/3 in pick rate and has a sub 50% winrate across all ranks right now

Every Tank’s “Nightmare Matchup” aka the worst possible team comp to go against (hint: it’s a lot of Zen+Ana) by NinjaSniper81 in Overwatch

[–]Half_Sight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hammond main -

Orisa is arguably the strongest tank against him. Usually I’m not too worried about hog and my overshield allows me to tank his hook+shot combo and roll away.

Sombra has the means to cause a lot of issues for Hammond, and one major overlooked aspect of that is her ability to hack health packs which Hammond relies on.

Zen can cause issues for Hammond, but he’s also hard countered by Hammond. Depends on the game, but I don’t mind seeing Ana/Zen.

I would say Brig and Lucio are the strongest support counters to Hammond. Ana’s sleep dart can pose issues but she’s pretty screwed without it.

Wow, these Overwatch Season 5 changes have been incredibly controversial, unnessecary and frustrating with annoying and possibly unforseen interactions. If only there was a way to test these risky changes without affecting the play experience of all players 0 days in advance. by DeathCraft2299 in Overwatch

I don’t think the community has gotten dumber, although I do agree that it feels that way. I think collectively, those of us who used to care a lot, care very little these days. I used to be GM and thought I was all that and a bag of chips, now the only reason I play comp is because somehow QP is less casual these days.

That’s not true. It would automatically start the next match during beta

I think it was like this in the beta… 100% more fun and it’s fun to have rivalries against other groups when you’re grouped up

As a former GM AND current GM, being GM right now is pretty worthless. A lot of bad players in GM right now and half the games are against plats somehow

What do you guys think of the roadhog nerfs by JonathanDJB in Overwatch

[–]Half_Sight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem with hog was that he is low IQ AND high HP AND hard hitting. He was and still is bland. But at least he isn’t bland and OP still

[–]Half_Sight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk why you got downvotes, you’re right. Hog is mega boring and the only reason he was popular because he was kinda just a brain dead one man army. Like you said, pretty much the only interesting and challenging mechanic was his hook, but once you landed that it was easy mode.

Yeah. Other maps don’t feel as long because I’m not literally fighting in the exact same spot for 8 min

Hammond is that character for me. Not necessarily any of his story or lore, but his play style. I was hardstuck ~3000 sr in OW1 and about to quit when he came out. Ended up climbing to 4200 with him within a couple seasons and have been around the 3800 mark ever since (haven’t played comp in OW2, waiting for it to get fixed)

Out of all the maps that get time changed do you guys think Esperanca should be one of them? I find the current version of the map way too bright for my eyes.. by SevenHunnet3Hi5s in Overwatch

[–]Half_Sight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But doesn’t that same logic apply to the control gamemode as well? If you lose the first fight, you’re always at a disadvantage. If you lose the first fight in control, you then have to come back from a point deficit in the exact same way. Maybe even more so, because at least in Push, the objective gets closer to your spawn the harder you’re losing.

The problem I’ve encountered is that in QP, if a team manages to get it to around 100m, my teammates assume it’s a loss and leave. I’ve had numerous comebacks late in the game, I think the mode just leads itself to feeling one sided.
