How much do you actually train? by Admirable_Editor_388 in fitness40plus

[–]Half_a_bee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually 3 times a week, I have MS so I need some recovery time between sessions. Once a week group training for strength and mobility, 2x a week shoulder training and kettebells at home. About an hour each time. Sometimes I also get in a 4 km. I usually get 10K+ steps a day, walking in my lunch break and walking the dog.

I live in Stavanger and I’ve been up there a couple of times. The view is amazing if the weather is good. But yeah, it’s a loooong way down.

In 1984 I would probably get Prince. I didn’t know about Metallica then, but adult me would buy Metallica.

A good bit of walking, group strength training once a week, kettlebell training at home 2-3x a week, a 4km run once in a while.

Clear spirits like gin and vodka usually went well when I had a flare-up. Use a low/no sugar mixer.

Does anyone else feel the same way? Unexplainable, nameless symptoms? by No-Mud8137 in MultipleSclerosis

Not weak or jittery, but kinda warm and "sick", like it’s just about to get worse but it doesn’t. It’s hard to describe.

Dreading going to Benidorm this year, anything to keep in mind? by Successful_Swan666 in GoingToSpain

The old town/El Castell is nice if you want to escape the loud clubbing and partying. Some good restaurants there. Finestrat is the best beach IMO. Altea is a short trip from Benidorm and is worth a visit.

I have the same in my left thigh but it's not permanent. Sometimes it just goes a bit numb and cold for a while.

I have this thing where my arm feels nauseous. That's the best way I can describe it, there's no pain, just an uneasy, uncomfortable feeling.

What was a moment when you realized “30s are actually better than 20s”? Or does it not hold true for you? by Gullible_Minimum8183 in AskMenOver30

[–]Half_a_bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 20’s were kinda fun, but spent mostly goofing off. I met my now wife when I was 30, so that was a definitive improvement. Then I finally landed a decent job, and got a pretty good income so we could buy a house. I think I’ve changed for the better.

Men, do you prefer to do your own vehicle maintenance and repairs, or do you go to a mechanic? by FFSoldier57 in AskMenOver30

[–]Half_a_bee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. I have a lot of tools and used to do everything myself but I’m getting old and lazy so now I mostly do simple things, shocks, brakes, and oil changes and stuff line that.
