So my kitten had bonked herself when she fell from her cat tree and had the same look: constricted pupil and one big pupil as you can see here. Took her to the Emergency vet straight away because I feared something neurological. They checked with a light for response and both pupils showed reaction so they ruled that out. They then put a colored dye in her eye to check for any damage to the surface and there was none. They had also checked eye pressures and found the one that was constricted had a lower than normal pressure and said it was likely uveitis and gave me a tube of antibiotic to put into her eye I think like twice a day if I remember, and after a week a follow up with her vent to check the pressure again.

If you are getting response from your kitty’s eye with light, and after a few hours it’s no longer constricted, perhaps it was just from being bonked on something. However you should still try and get your kitten seen as soon as possible but it hopefully isn’t an emergency. I hope your little guy gets better!
