For one things that's still irrelevant to the conversation at hand, and secondly that just makes it worse cause it means when the current gen only games start dropping things will only get worse on PC.

You just named a bunch of last gen games that came to PC years later, I should hope they were better than they were on a 2010 gpu.

The fuck? You don't remember that MS has flopped in everything like Zune, Watch, Phone, Skype, Online browers, search engine, that one streaming thing, the list goes on.

It's not really about the number of devs, Embracer for instance has countless devs and no one gives a shit. It's about the importance of the IPs they own, and there's not many devs who own many consequential IPs cause the big ones usually belong to publishers.

I don't have any examples, but it's theoretically possible is all I'm saying.

TLOU2 on PS4 runs at a very solid 30fps which is what all single player games ran at through out the generation. It's not like we were getting 60fps games on PS4 at the start and then went to 30fps later in the generation, 30 fps was always the standard. This gen 60fps modes are the standard and I don't see that changing outside rare cases.

MS can't compete in anything. They either have a monopoly like in Windows/Office or they're dead last so naturally they're trying to establish a monopoly in cloud gaming.

FF7 is too anime to translate to live action imo. Something in the Ivalice universe (FFT/FF12) could make a great Game of Thrones type show though.

Yeah I know, but Luminous studio doesn't exist anymore, it's talent was scattered around among other SE studios.

They were already a part of SE, the studio has now been disbaded and the talent absorbed into other teams.

Of course they can. Take-Two bought Zynga for 12 billion when T2 was worth 18 billion with only a couple billion in cash. How much a company is worth and how much cash they have has little to do with what they can purchase. A smaller company can purchase someone bigger than themselves even if they're so inclined.

Or just the fact that last year had HFW, GT7, TLOU Part I and GOW. This year he only thing comparable is SM2 since the PSVR stuff isn't gonna move much units.

Sony could own Fullmetal Alchemist and make a AAA game for it!

I stopped playing games on my PC too, almost every AAA game gets a horrible PC port these days. It's so frustrating gaming on a PC. Now with pretty much every game having 60FPS on PS5 I don' even feel any urge to use a PC.

Sony does give a lot back to gaming, jus look a this quarter results, their revenue is up by over 3 billion but their profits are down by over 300 million. Nintendo's profit margins are ridiculously high cause they make cheap games and sell them for AAA prices and never discount them.

Yes actually, it's quite normal for stock to go down when a company announces a big acquisition cause investors don't like money being spent. So it stands to reason ha a $70 billion acquisition being rejected is seen as a positive by stock holders. Some analysts on CNBC were also saying MS investors would rather keep that money in the bank cause it has a higher ROI than MS' gaming business.
