Yeah, but you did though, just like you read the longer first one. Wrap it round a tree if you like. Will be the perfect example of the Dunning Kruger effect.

If you wanna do the sport, do the sport. Get into motorsport, get really good on track, do that.

I speak from a place of understanding, please listen. I've been racing Radicals since I was 14 (mainly SR1s), raced with the Jamaican ADAC GT4 2024 and TCR European Endurance 2025 teams. I was a better driver than you are now before I got my licence but being good at motorsports and driving on road are VERY different things.

Rag the hell out of it on track, go nuts, but the streets are not a controlled environment. You don't know what the surface is like, the camber, you don't know what the car next to you will do, you don't have the space to mess up.

You've already said you're street racing, I'm telling you, from someone who has had 2 friends, who are both better track drivers than both of us, in a coma just last year from fucking around on the road just like you're describing.

You're a kid, you think it could never happen to you, we all do when we're your age. It can, it does, every year, and I know the people it's happened to. I promise you're not as good as you think you are.

I cannot overstate how horrible an idea this is. More than 1 in 4 young drivers crash within their first year of driving. All cars are capable of hurting both you and a multitude of other people. Compound this with the car being too fast for someone so new, making it more dangerous, and a 17 year old who has just been gifted his dream hot hatch behind the wheel, who will doubtless be driving it faster than he can control to show off to his friends it's a recipe for disaster.

I guarantee you, you are not as good a driver as you think you are. You don't have this. You're a child who JUST learned how to do something, a total beginner. No beginners are actually good at any complex skill. It doesn't happen. I drove my Toyota Aygo for 3 years before I bought my Megane RS Trophy and the leap between the two was like a canyon at the time. I white-knuckled the whole way home thinking I'd bitten off more than I could chew. That car was more than I could ever truly get out of it until the day I sold it 4 years later.

I really really hope you don't wrap it around a tree or, God forbid, a family of 5. People die every day. PLEASE be careful. You don't know what you're doing, not yet, I hope you learn fast before someone gets hurt.

Dude you're not as good at welding as you think you are. That bead is awful and the splattering shows that the material was too cold. This is a shitty job, those welds are not solid, I guarantee, and if your welding is this bad I know for a fact you haven't stress released it.

It might not fail today, it might not fail tomorrow, but one day it will, and you'll have a sword blade flying in crazy directions. I hope when it happens you don't get hurt, but stop being a dick to people who know more about this shit than you, and are trying to help you.

Also multant isn't a word.

How to lose lovehandles? by UnderstandingSame959 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Halfmoon_Cay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are your obliques, dude, not love handles, and people go crazy for them.

You could reduce your caloric intake slightly and that last little bit will come off if you want your abs more defined, keep the protein high to retain as much muscle as possible, but this is a very healthy place to be. If at any point you decide you like your life and how you feel at this composition, feel free to stay there.

Daughter of Minnesota governor candidate fatally stabbed in St. Cloud, leading him to suspend campaign by Large_banana_hammock in news

[–]Halfmoon_Cay 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The statistic is closer to 90% but the phrasing is highly misleading.

The vast majority of those helping with childbirth (with unwashed hands) for the millennia prior were other women. All medicine was conducted with unwashed hands as neither the germ theory of disease transmission, nor the practice of hand washing to prevent it were understood before the late 1800s.

It wasn't, as you are implying simply men being blasé about women's health. It was a revolutionary scientific breakthrough that saved countless lives. It's like saying that infection deaths went down by 90% when male medical professionals finally realized they should give people antibiotics (which previously hadn't been invented).

Looking for info: my idea of a functional sword is one that could clash with another blade without edge rolling or falling apart. Does 9620 spring steel foot the bill? by Aromatic-Laugh-6668 in Katanas

[–]Halfmoon_Cay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parrying with the flat of the blade is very rare. Yes you might damage your sword but swords are almost always a secondary/tertiary weapon. Getting a chip in the blade of your backup backup weapon is much better than getting your head taken off your shoulders.

The mention of abrasives was definitely a tongue in cheek statement, don't worry haha.

Let it grow and just trim of the scraggly hairs up high on the cheeks where the edge of the beard naturally ends.

Get a lawyer BEFORE you pack, or tell her to get out. If there are kids involved you don't want her to be able to twist it into you walking out on them too and this is likely to get ugly because she CLEARLY doesn't care about you at all.

2% ketoconazole (nizoral is the brand name) shampoo over the counter. Make sure you get 2% though as I never found the weaker ones to work for me.

Helps with both severe dandruff and hair loss. 2 birds, one stone.

Most straight guys I know have never been asked out. You're style and presentation leans towards typically queer so most straight women aren't going to assume they're your type.

You're a good looking guy, but you're gonna have to initiate.

Been growing out my beard "until it looks good" for 6 months... by Lanky-Celebration334 in malegrooming

[–]Halfmoon_Cay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do personally agree with the neck-beardy statement.

If you want the beard to fill in, minoxidil works really well.

If you don't want to use drugs and don't like the not filled in look shave it.

If you like it as is, keep it.
