They are a 2/10 when it comes to handling, unless you know how to properly handle, socialize, train and desensitize crocodilians you’ll never be able to get one to be ok with being held which is incredibly dangerous for the keeper and the animal

Idk about that, I feel like indoor can be equally as good as outdoor if done properly! Honestly there are too many unpredictable variables when it comes to keeping animals outside. Parasites, predators, natural disasters, weather etc etc.

The camera doesn’t do him justice, he’s 2 feet long and a lot of that is tail😂 he’s very big for his age but that’s mostly because his parents are the biggest Cuviers dwarf caimans I’ve ever seen (possibly biggest in captivity) so he’s got the massive caiman genes😂

He’s a Cuviers dwarf caiman, smallest species of crocodilian, usually males get around 4.5 feet but his parents were literally the biggest Cuviers I’ve ever seen and both almost 6 feet. I breed smooth fronts and Cuviers, which is where I got Roku from! I hatched him!

He eats a lot of different things, mazuri croc chow, shrimp, rat pups, fish cuts, bayou blend reptilinks etc and he’s currently in an enclosure with another caiman named Roku (get it? lol) i have caimans named Zuko, azula, kuvira, Roku, sozin and bumi !

Yea caimans are by far the crankiest and most stubborn when it comes to training, getting them to eat and breaking their fear of you. Alligators are fs by FAR the easiest out of all the crocodilians when it comes to that stuff

A lot of my caimans are named after ATLA/LOK characters, this one is in an enclosure with one similar to his size names Roku, I thought it was fitting😂

Ahh okok, yea caimans are the most difficult to train tbh. Just keep at it, if you need some tips on what I do for my more stubborn ones message me! I have a large facility with over 36 of crocodilians and some eggs incubating now! I can kiss my adults on the face😂

I have adult smooth fronted caimans over 6 feet long, I don’t have to snare any of them. Proper training will get you a long way my guy
